So Ricky Lambert speaks today following transfer to Liverpool. He sounds like a winner to me.
Southampton had a five year plan. Is it too much to ask for Bristol Rovers to have a five year plan? It's what I would expect the board to talk about when they are ready. We now need to be inspired and start aiming high.
"The five-year plan when I arrived was to get this club from League One to the top half of the Premier League. Against all the odds we have achieved that," said Rovers legend Ricky.
So can Bristol Rovers be in the top half of division one in five years? From where I am sitting it might be the least we could expect and of course we certainly might hope for more.
Please, please can we set a target we can all get excited about and stop this steady incrementalism. Let's turn this club around together. Let's start now. Southampton have done it against the odds and so it's hardly g r o u n d - b r e a k i n g.
So top half division one in five years. Definitely doable. Definitely achievable. Waiting to be inspired. I'm in.

The problem is Rich is that the board are too scared to set a five year plan or do anything else for that matter in case it goes wrong. That's the only reason I can think of as to why absolutely nothing has been done about our predicament. I hope that Darrell is given all the tools he needs but I can't see it.

Knowing our BOD they'll think a five year plan is the "new" one they'll anounce in 2019 that says they are hurting as much as we are and that lessons will be learned.

1. Luck and chemistry 2. Sack the manager 3. Replace the playing squad 4. Relegation is not an option 5. Blame wycombe

I think the last time we had a five year plan 5 was about 5 years ago....
i'd suggest a 1 year plan:
code name: "don't f**k it up (again)"

Rich we need something to aim for next season so can you please let us know what your realistic goals would be please. Bit early for me to create a set of goals. My initial thinking is that realistically we should believe in better and not think the worst. Realistically we should set a target for players and manager for a realistic goal of play offs. If the manager of this club doesn't think its possible then I would be very disappointed. Let's inspire players and create a system of play that gets the fans up for it. Other targets to come later.
