I was sitting down about now, having a celebratory drink thinking that we were on our way and would be looking forward to / sat in 👀 a shiny new stadium *sigh*

I never thought it was going to happen and I didn’t trust Higgs from the times I met him and he talked about the UWE that if it did happen it would have been good for our club.
I was relieved when it fell through.
To many it was so near to a great thing , personally I think we had a lucky escape.

I suppose 4 years on, we have moved from top third of the L2 table to the middle of League 1 and we're safe for another season.
So that's progress, I suppose. At the cost of a lot of extra debt. Or investment by the family, depending upon how you see these things.
But, as so many others have said, without a new stadium, the only way we can maintain our traditional L1 position is by spending a lot more than we earn, which is of course not sustainable.
