Lordy that sounded guts.
At some point in the 90 mins we had pretty much every 'attacking' player in our entire squad on the pitch, and were allegedly playing an attacking formation, yetthere was no goal mouth action, we couldn't score and the best chance apparently fell to Tom Parkes.
wow. we really aren't going to get out of this lge at this rate.
I appreciate that at least DC tries to be positive, but we clearly simply aren't good enough to score regularly, and that is a serious problem.

5 points from our last 3 away games. Decent return? That form with a return to winning ways at home should see us in the playoff places at Xmas then who knows what will happen in jan with regards to strikers

We just seem stale up top. Didn't even sound like we really looked like doing anything. We rode the wave of goals from the midfield for too long and now we are paying the price. No siree we wont be going places this season unless we fix it and we wont fix it. Noone ever gets a striker mid season that's any good.

On a positive note somehow we've moved up to 4th. Although we blew the chance to narrow the gap on Barnet.
Surely Balatana can't be far away from making his debut?

Another two points dropped and for one reason only, our Managers inability to bring in a striker who can score goals! 3 points Saturday and barnet lose again pretty essential. Night folks Just checked and they've got Telford at home!

Another two points dropped and for one reason only, our Managers inability to bring in a striker who can score goals! This problem has been with us for a few seasons now. I read that DC was looking for an experienced striker but I do question whether we would be better off with a championship/league 1 youngster who wants to prove a point and has attitude but can score.

Another disappointing night to be a gashead. Disappointing to draw away to Alfreton especially as they were missing a key player and didn't sound very good. If we have any chance of winning this league then we need to be winning this kind of game and it was an excellent opportunity to gain a lot of ground on Barnet tonight.

Well, he gave all of our strikers bar Cunnington a go tonight. Can't say he isn't trying different things.
On the whole, it's not a bad night. We have made ground or stayed the same with all of our rivals apart from Grimsby in 2nd, who we are 3pts behind with a game in hand, so we are well in reach of them.
It is clear we need some fresh blood up front as the strikers en masse seem to have lost confidence. Hopefully he can bring someone in before Kidderminster, which we need to win to keep our momentum up.

I'm not even sure DC can sign a decent striker as he's already brought in Taylor, White, Cunnington & Balatana.

I think he needs to get a striker. He needs to know how to play the ones he has got ! Clarkeson Muhamed, Richards have all done well since leaving last season. Our Top scorer has 3 goals!

I'd be interested to hear from someone who was there. Did we create chances that were missed? In which case we need a striker, or two. If the chances weren't created we need someone who will create them. Hopefully the young lad from Fulham will get a game on Saturday.
