“It was the most special group of players, even in the coaching career after, I’ve ever worked with,” he said.
“There was a bond and togetherness with that group. A great set of lads and I was honoured to lead that group and call them my players.
“I’ve been very fortunate in my career. I’ve been in football since I left school. It’s one of the, if not the, finest achievements of my career.
“I’m really proud and honoured to have managed the club. It’s a club that’s always close to my heart. It’s a wonderful place in a great part of the world.”

In the corner by the family terrace every game is the famous flag stating "Make us dream" It rings in my ears every game "Good Night Irene I'll see you in MY dreams
