Garner won't be sacked if we lose today as we are still not in jeopardy so you may as well forget that thought. Maybe JCH missing it will be a blessing in disguise as it forces Garner to actually change something. After last week my hopes for getting something from this game are not very high but I'm holding onto the fact that the players may put a real shift in to make up for the dismal performance against the shrews. 1-1 UTG! I thing Garner is bulletproof this season. I think we have made a decision that will see him stay for at least another season after this. It’s been made abundantly clear that we are cutting costs and I believe Wael has made that decision. Hoping that we see a different and better formation, due to JCH being out. We did well last time he was injured.

whats happened to all this talk of width and pace? No sign of a winger in sight! I wouldn't be against a 3-5-2 line up but I don't think BG likes it. Expect more of his 4-3-3 nonsense and a dire performance with players unsure of what the hell they are doing? I hope not as the meltdown if we lose today could get toxic! You mean more toxic, surely ?

No idea how it's going to go today. I dread the thought of a loss against a team with so many problems bigger than ours though.

Do you reckon Garner knows or has considered playing 'ugly'.....
Because I think it might come in handy today....
(I've only posted this so I can get shot down after a champagne football 2-0 win)

I’m hoping we see the like of Hargreaves, Philips, Russe, Menayese or Tomlinson get some minutes today. Perfect chance to give them some first team experience and let’s face it they can’t do too much worse than some of the performances put in by more senior players last week.
All well and good bringing in young players from elsewhere but we need to be giving our own opportunities too.

Now I'm not sure what 'coronation chicken football' would be like.... Frankie Prince crosses it in and Bill Roost provides the finish?

We did well last time he was injured. Yes I agree. His interview made it clear he has the board's backing for his vision so we might as well back him. I wonder if some of the squad have decided that they will be gone come the summer and have given up. He needs to pick the players that he wants to keep if possible. The couple of enforced changes might pay dividends

Hard to care anymore, have gradually had all the pre-Christmas enthusiasm beaten out of me since Boxing Day.

Abraham looks completely out of his depth so I certainly wouldn't start with him.
Assuming we haven't got any suspensions or injuries I don't know about I'd probably go:
--------------Blackman---------------
-----Menayese---Craig---Kilgour--------
Hare------------Upson------Holmes- Dennis
---------Clarke--------Sercombe---------
------Rodman--------------Mitchell-Lawson -----------------Daly-------------------
Maybe you could throw Harries in somewhere. Haven't seen enough of him to know.
Barrett clearly isn't fit and it didn't sound like anyone stood out in the reserve match this week.
If he's going to go 2 up top I'd go with Reilly and Daly. I don't rate Reilly but he's a better option that Abraham and did score at Southend last season.

Just hasn’t been favoured by Garner it would seem. Coughlan saw something in him, so it’s a shame he hasn’t got more game time since he left.
