That’s kind of you in Baggins and much appreciated No problem. Are you still going to go and watch them? Yes, still going but less often - I still care very much about the club, but I can’t engage as I would like to currently

Although I have to say, for the first time in years, I'm feeling the same. I'm actually thinking of giving Tuesday v Sunderland a miss. 2 hours of sitting out in freezing cold wet weather has lost it's appeal. Keep the faith chap, that's pretty much all we have left.

I'm surprised at the level of personal bitterness towards BG on here.
I think he should have been sacked yesterday evening, and I've thought his time was up for a while now, but some of the comments are just too much.
He didn't pretend to be anything he's not. He didn't falsify his CV, he didn't promise us the world.
He's done his best, but his best just isn't good enough. So I'd terminate his contract, wish him well elsewhere, and get someone else in.
Someone who can take on the huge task of rebuilding a broken and demoralised side. Shame we let Holloway slip off to Grimsby, but whether him or someone else, BG has to be replaced.
Replaced, not hounded out of town like some criminal. He was a slightly risky but imaginative appointment on paper, and one welcomed by the fans. Worth a chance, but it's gone wrong. So let's say goodbye and good wishes before it becomes really damaging.
I see also that Starnes is now receiving pretty much the same criticisms that Hamer did.
In fact it's hard to tell any difference in their treatment.
Both of them were wheeled in front of the press and other media with no answers, no solutions, no plan B, and asked to make it up as they go along, seemingly.
I'm assuming Wael asked them both to do this unenviable task. Predictably it hasn't gone well for either man. I have no idea what Wael thinks is going on.

I agree calling him a "fraud" and the players "t0ssers" is really going to far, we don't know what remit Wael gave him, perhaps it was to move on all the high earners and replace them with youngsters whilst trying to play more attractive football. Did the likes of Nathan Jones and Paul Tisdale tell Wael that was impossible hence why BG got the job?
Problems is now how do we get out of the car crash which has been created. We really need some leadership from the top but that seems non existent.

Very good post aghast and pretty much where we are. It certainly reflects the feelings on here but is gaschat representive of the wider fanbase? I don’t know if it is. Serious question. Gaschat is what, 500 members with most posting very little, 150 posters who provide most of the content, if that. Out of a crowd of about 7000 that is a very small %. I don’t know if we are representative of the fan base. BG was given a two and a half year contract (?) and was, I imagine, told to make us a better footballing team without any pressure for the rest of the season by the owners. In other words, a free hit, as many have said. So far he has failed and the pressure he is under must be immense due to the poor results and poor performances. I’m prepared to give him more time, but I haven’t seen too many of the matches although I’m looking forward to seeing us against Sunderland on Tuesday. Others have seen more. But giving him more time is only going to work if the players are buying into his ideas and methods. From what I’ve seen, read and listened to it’s not clear that the players do and some say he has “lost the dressing room.” If that’s the case then we are in deep trouble. Whilst I agree with what you’ve said and feel it is more or less where we are, what about the owners? Will they listen to what’s being said , do they even know what’s being said? I presume MS is feeding back to them what’s happening but will they act or have they almost given BG a free hand and he knows he doesn’t have to worry? The lack of any leadership or presence from above means that we appear completely rudderless at the moment. You are right aghast but I’m not sure that the owners see it that way. Worrying times. UTG!

Well it could be worse....no wait....It couldn't No it could, it really could. I think it will get worse until he’s sacked. Hopefully that will be tomorrow morning. Give it to Big Tone - player manager for the Sunderland game and watch those players run through walls.
