Only logic would be if he can't play for 90 minutes. If not a fitness issue then it makes no sense at all. Unless he's got a pay per play type contract or an extension if he plays so many games in a season? Fee from Huddersfield based on appearances if I remember. |

Apparently Southend May put out a load of youth players as their players and staff haven’t been paid AGAIN. If Southend show more fight/motivation for this i’ll be livid. I just hope Wael & Starnes haven’t bought into Bens ‘vision’ of needing all summer to implement his ideas. Yes, someone on twitter saying Southend fielding 7 academy players and another saying it's the youngest side ever fielded by Southend. Sounds like we are playing a development squad still they tanked out development squad 5-2 recently. Should be an even game but with the Gas coming home with all 3 points. Might even score more than 1 today. That will shut-up the moaners like me. |

Our midfield 3 of Clarke, Upson and Sercombe were truly dreadful last week and I was looking forward to change(s).
So Garner picks the same 3 maestros FFS!
Despite that and mainly because we're playing against kids I think we'll win comfortably about 4-1.
The inclusion of Daly and Harries and the return of Hare have added to my optimism.

Don't get me wrong I think Upson is pedestrian, Sercombe hasn't reached anywhere near the levels of his first season with us in yonks, and Ollie Clarke has been woeful, but Hargreaves isn't ready and Ogogo and Barrett are out. |

Well obviously he couldn't change all 3 but with formation change he could easily have left Clarke out for starters. |
