We're paying the bulk of Nichols salary whilst he's at Cheltenham? Where did you hear that? Why wouldn't we be isn't that how most loan deals work, hence why Swindle only wanted to meet 25% of Bennetts wages? Assuming TN was is on a decent L1 salary I can't see Cheltenham paying more than a £1 p.w. towards it if they don't even start him. So it was made up rather than the fact you told us in the previous post?

Thing is, even a storming 2nd half performance and a win (whatever that is) will not be enough to bring about fan confidence in BG.

It's always easier to pay off 1 manager than 24 players, don't forget these same players got us to the top 4 They did. Since then they have been nothing short of a disgrace. Much like last week they cannot make a simple 5 yard pass and are not fit to wear the shirt. And what's changed in the meantime? they can't have all magically got terrible, it's lack of leadership and motivation and rightly or wrongly that is down to one person, the manager

Confidence has gone. They look lost. Just when I thought they could not get anymore sh**...

Well it’s my first game since Rotherham at home and this is pathetic so far. There is no way anyone can tell me this team is playing for the manager.
There are genuinely no tactics, no fight, just nothing. Poor Mitchell-Lawson the only player to look like he actually gives a sh** about the club.
Harries is abysmal and so lightweight. Hare with a dreadful mistake but his crossing is superb. Leahy losing a header to 34 who looks about 4”8 and the entire stadium starts cheering it about sums it up.
Awful

This is the same lethargic shambles devoid of the ability to execute a simple pass which they produced against Shrewsbury. They must surely be trying to get Garner the sack. Anyone offer an alternative explanation? Without spelling it out, if a new manager came in next week they would all be better players.

Two very, very poor sides with the Gas being the poorer.
Still think we might nick this if BG can get a bit of organisation and passing in to our game. Sounds like their keeper is shaky and does not like crosses.
Not good against what is effectively a development squad.
BG has destroyed a team and really can't seem him building a new team next year whatever the result today.

I am afraid we are showing why he has never been a Manager.
I don't like the "sack culture" but somehing has to be done and fast.
Does he actually have any backroom staff? he should have been made to have an experienced person alongside him but not now its too late.

The thing is, I don’t have much confidence that Garner will motivate the lads in the dressing room at half time. At least with Coughlan, if we had a bad first half, I would have some confidence that we would come out, change things up and look a little better. Can’t say the same at the moment.

...make the tea Ben and then call an Uber. £200 back to the Mem will be a bargain for ALL Gasheads.

Massive ht talk for Garner, he has to get a reaction from them 2nd half otherwise I don't see where he goes from here. I've been firmly in the 'in' camp but fail to turn this around and I just don't see a way back. Having said all that as others have said we are a complete shambles from the top down so does anyone truly expect any decisive action ?

Rochdale and Tranmere both winning ….. Garner will take us down to L2 …. I don't think the Al Qadis will worry one jot!!

Garner frustrations boiling over on the touch-line.
Midfield dreadful again, OC the best of a bad bunch, creating nothing for the forwards. Kilgour half a yard too slow and Harries dangerously leaping into tackles.
Hare's crossing very good but unfortunately it was his mistake which led to the goal.
Southend look poor at the back.....if only we could create something!

Why the f**k was anybody expecting anything different? But all the usual suspects will doubtless be out later today defending him: “he’s building for next season” . . . “It’s a work in progress . . .”, “Let’s give him time . . .”, “Let’s see what he does in the summer . . .”
You know what?
Let’s not.
