Our players will need to put on their big boys pants tonight to avoid another spanking.

Our players will need to put on their big boys pants tonight to avoid another spanking. Ever thought of applying for the manager's job?

Interesting to hear Garner in his pressie saying he's "not looking down the table".... Comforting.... Not.... Every Rovers fan will be checking the Tranmere result. If Garner isn't he's an idiot.

Its chucking it down with strong winds in north Bristol at the moment.... As it has been for the last 4 months.... At the moment it’s dry down here so thinking the journey up won’t be too bad. Seriously, I’m looking forward to it. Not sure Sunderland are that good so I hope we don’t show them too much respect. UTG!

Rovers will upset the majority of fans on this forum and will win 1-0 Well, if he sticks around, I genuinely think we'll be relegated next season, so my head, for the future of the club, thinks a loss might actually be good for the long term. Otoh, my heart can't not want us to win. I agree. It's hard to think it and harder still to say it, but some short term pain might be what's required. A new or interim manager would surely get us the two or three wins we need to keep us safe. As it stands, I can see us losing every game except maybe Lincoln. Of course, if we lose and then keep BG on anyway, that's the worst of both worlds and I'll feel a bit guilty about my treacherous thoughts. Not that it's my fault.

In one way I’m hoping Sunderland will be complacent and not take us seriously, yet a decent point or three would prolong the false hope. If the manager wasn’t gone after Southend then he’s hardly going to be dismissed after losing to Sunderland. However a win would surely secure safety so I’ll plump for that.

I think it's going to be a big scoreline tonight against us. I just can't see anything but.
If I was any opposition manager I'll say just constantly attack down Bristol Rovers left hand side and you will score goals.
Kudos to the fans going tonight as I can't bring myself the watch it anymore.
Sad times.

2-1 to us with a wicked deflection from a scuffed shot in the 89th minute and a last gasp Blackman clearance that's carried in the wind generated by all the expletives coming from the terraces, hits the bottom of the post, bounces along the line to the other post where their full back whacks it onto the underside of the bar onto the goalie's back and into the net. Garner was right all along, lol

I'm (currently) still a season ticket holder/supporters club member and I'm not going tonight. Never thought I would say this but I've lost all connection with this club as it stands at the moment and that's after well over 60 years of supporting them - I really can't be arsed anymore. Under normal circumstances I would imagine there would be a crowd tonight of well over 9k.

I’ll be there tonight and at the very least expect for a far better performance that what I’ve seen recently. It won’t be the Owner’s, the Manager, the Players or the Stadium that would stop me going, but the toxic atmosphere from the fans that put me off. Probably not a popular opinion, but that’s how I feel.

What ever fans think, a toxic atmosphere will not help team, so please gas eds get behind the team to night and you never know we might get a positive result, Sunderland are better than us but certainly not unbeatable, Hope BG has seen enough of the under performers and makes whole sale changes but am not optimistic on that score, 1-1, up the Rovers !

It's as windy as you like here in Frenchay (and I don't mean just me). What's the ruling on a match going ahead, ball has to be static?

I am not sure how the ref would view strong winds but as the Blackpool game went ahead I can’t see tonight being in doubt.
