Yeah whilst it's nice that FIFA are making head injuries a higher priority, we saw immediately that players can now just end up holding their heads and can stop any counter attack at any point for how ever long they want, without getting booked. Great example was the Sunderland player in the 2nd half who was on the floor clutching his head like he'd been shot (no one touched his head). I assume the ref called his bullshit and he jumped up in a flash and pretty much attacked the referee screaming and getting in his face. Personally, I think he got off lucky with a yellow for that tbh. This is the problem with football, a lack of respect and people will do anything to cheat. Until we start having physios on the pitch while play continues, like Rugby, nothing will change It’s frustrating because the authorities could easily clampdown on things like play acting, time wasting, diving and dissent by just having zero tolerance and tougher penalties. The game would be so much better for it. Yeah I completely agree. I remember Steve Bruce saying years ago - if a defender is given a red card and penalty to stopping a goal scoring chance, then the striker should also be given a red card if they're seen to cheat to create a scoring chance. We'd have some teething problems at first, but you'd stop players diving if red cards were issued for diving in the box

brilliant, hilarious! what a character! thing is it could have been a Gas ed after the Southend match! interesting observation from last night, far from being toxic, the atmosphere was brilliant ,,does it mean that though this forum gives a platform for some very toxic views ,giving the impression that its the view of thousands of gas eds, is the opposite true? are they just the views of a very vocal minority and the silent masses just go about the business of 'supporting ' Rovers ,and to quote Ernie wise, 'like what i have done' through good times and bad and pay short shift to some of the more extreme views on here?
PS I am referring to the Sunderland fan video!

Or could it be that posters venting on here about our sh**e form turn up to the game and support the team. Or are you suggesting that everyone who cheered last night rates Garner?

Fair due to that Sunderland supporter that was a good evaluation of the game. A bit like I felt about our performance at Southend. If you haven't watched the video,do

I think there is a difference between expressing disappointment and exchanging views about this player ,that player, we all have our favourites, and the kind of posts that suggests creating a toxic attitude at the ground which would not help anyone, i think every one who cheered last night wanted, and would like to see Ben make a success of his tenure at Rovers, though some may have reservations as to his chances of making it, my concerns are not with posters who express frustration at tactics or certain abilities which differ from mine, but with those who suggest abuse and the like at players, managers, and staff,

Great peformance last night, by all, but I have to say, exceptional my Michell-Lawson and Hargreaves who ran, chased, ran, chased all game. What a thing to see their keeper being chased down, their defence not given time, their midfield harrassed, brilliant.
Keep it up lads.

Anybody checked out the Sunderland forums this morning? I bet they’re a bundle of fun, I thought they were pretty average last night and that’s being kind. Just had a look, they are VERY grumpy! Yep. It is very funny. I thought BG had problems until I read that. We love BG compared to what they think of Parkinson! A big sense of entitlement who think they only have to turn up. I loved them bringing on a £4m sub, Grigg, and even the rest of the bench looked good. But as a team they were poor. UTG!

Shout out to the 12th man tonight, us! Atmosphere was brilliant this evening. I was nervous it was gonna be hostile this evening, but the faithful and true got right behind the boys. Just as much a part of that win as the players today. I enjoyed the 'right side' 'left side' song in the Thatcher's end. Made me chuckle for the first time this year.

Funny you should say that as I was the one that got that going haha. I remember we did it a few years ago and got everyone up for it and had a giggle. I Think we‘ve missed that behind the goal the past few years a bit of a joke and a laugh. I’m still a firm believer in when the atmosphere is good the boys play better and we do better.
