I think the current Sky deal runs until 2022. I wonder what all of this will mean for tv revenue (esp. the Prem.) now and in the future?

So what I’m taking from all this is.....there ain’t no perfect solution to this bag of poop. Whatever you do will be wrong in some way or other. Apart from that ...it’s easy.

Premier league due to restart at the beginning of May. Games played behind closed doors and must finish before July 12th to avoid TV rebates of up to £762M

With most teams in the EFL having to play a maximum of 9 games to complete the season couldn't this be done and dusted in just over a month playing twice a week?
So, even if we get to August it could be completed then with the new season starting in mid September.
I don't understand the complexities of shirt sponsorship and TV rights but surely a compromise could be reached even if they have to change the kit at half time!

I think the best outcome to this is to finish the season as the tables are now regardless of the number games played and those games in hand. Teams top of there leagues are declared champions, teams in promtion places go up and those in the relegation places go down. And then the Sides in the playoff places go into the playoffs once when can restart playing again. Then when ever football starts up again (Its looking like Sept/Oct to me at the earliest) we have a small pre season for the clubs that are still in the playoffs and Cup comps both here and in the Europe. We have a month or just over to completle all domestic cups, playoffs and the Champions and Europa leagues based over on leg affairs. Then we have a normal pre season starting in Oct/November for all clubs for the start of the 2020/21 season that begins in January but based on playing 23 games and each club only once next season. This should get us back to normal for the 2021/22 season. The issue that will arise from that is the pot luck of who you play home or away.... Which ever way you look at it there ain’t no easy answer to this that will satisfy one and all. Good point,as well as teams with games in hand on teams above them,or clubs in the drop zones. This is a situation that we have never had before so the above would likely be agreed and excepted by most in football even tho hard and I cant see another way of not overlapping future seasons unless something is lost.

Top three tiers in the National League now suspended indefinitely. Not sure how that translates for other Leagues. We shall see....

Rugby Union has today decreed winner of promotion to Premiership and relegation from it. Whatever the rights or wrongs of that decision.
