I think the inference is that Wael didnt consult and was deliberately trying to scupper the deal? The inference from Oldie (who only a few days ago was agreeing with every word Mr 1981 was posting) was that “someone” opening their mouth had added £5m to the cost of the deal. He also inferred that ‘someone’ was the only person standing in the way of the deal. Seems an ‘about turn’ has happened for Oldie for some reason. Oldie was agreeing with me because I was correct. However he is entitled to his own opinion on any other matter to which anyone, including me can agree or disagree and doesn't constitute an "about turn". Its fair to say that me and Oldie have disagreed a few times on here over the years.

I would also think that you would have to be pretty stupid to announce something without all other parties being consulted on it first without the risk of blowing the deal completely out the water at that early stage. It almost sounded like that part of the interview was staged anyway, like 20man knew about it and had planned some careful questions around it. I think the inference is that Wael didnt consult and was deliberately trying to scupper the deal? Yes because...he’s desperate to be popular and stay in football. The way to do that of course is to scupper a new stadium deal and lead a club into administration according to some, seriously. Love it

I dont disagree but I'm tired of the lies, mistruths and revisionist ideas that are being repeated ad nauseam by a handful of people. The FM site was being talked about on 20man, the Post and on here and so it was inevitable that Wael would have to eventually address it. I think we’re all tired of this saga now! Andy, you and a few others did an awful lot of work to get the Mem planning permission past the post; the amount of horse crap that has been thrown around by both sides in this current debacle is frankly boring the feck out of me now.
All I want is to enjoy a pint or two in the Clubhouse after a game with the Captain, be that a new clubhouse or the one at the Mem. I hope you and the family are all well?

Frost also said that any expectation of an update from the Club or the ALQ's on the sale of the FM is misguided as it is not their deal to make. Based on Wael's Blackpool intervention did the Consortium have tentative talks with Wael or was it leaked to him. But the Mayor in the link to the article posted yesterday told the BBC that the club were involved in the FM talks, although how couldn't they be as w/o Rovers there's no ground.

No he did not. If he did post the quote of him saying it.

Love it It’s fair to say that over the years literally thousands of people in a position of authority/power etc have made poor decisions based on a desire to maintain that position. If there was a deal that effectively removed his position then it’s not a stretch to see that someone might not want that to happen. Particularly if they felt they could find a different solution. Only Wael could answer that though...we can only speculate.

Just seems an odd way to go about it is all

UP THE GAS The thing is I feel that people on both side of this argument want the best for Rovers. I also think neither side are doing a good job of demonstrating that! My gut feeling is that unless the stadium gets sorted there won’t be a club to support soon as the debts are spiralling. I don’t really care who’s involved be that Wael or someone else as long as the future gets sorted with a plan/strategy. We’re all doing well. Look after yourself mate (and the captain) and if you need anything just give me a shout. 👍🏻

The longer he chooses to stay silent/only give out vague platitudes, the longer and deeper the divisions become.

“As it stands, the Supporters Club won’t be filling their two allocated spots on the board due to their dissatisfaction with the Al-Qadis and an apparent loss of “family” values at the club.” This further highlights the need for a new body for supporter representation to be set up as the “supporters” club clearly aren’t performing this function anymore.

I think he is in a position he's dammed if he does and dammed if doesn't now he's not saying anything because he puts his foot in it saying what he says or don't say

Call them a liar. Looks like the post can be relied upon to keep repeating the £24m debt lie though and top it up a bit to £25m. And people with a straight face try to cite the Post as evidence for stuff. Honestly.

So the supporters club did report the Owner and directors to the EFL and it was immediately thrown out.
At what point do we now the challenge the competency and management of the ‘supporters’ club?

Embarrassing for all involved. Only for the people with a axe to grind I think it’s embarrassing for all associated with the club to be honest. It highlights the ineptitude of the SC but also publicly highlights the fact that many feel the club is being run poorly. Coupled with our terrible ratings for communication and I think nobody is looking good right now!

I think he is in a position he's dammed if he does and dammed if doesn't now he's not saying anything because he puts his foot in it saying what he says or don't say Yeah, he's virtually only said one interesting thing in the past two years, and people are now blaming that on yet another stadium falling through.
