Even if that were true shame on you for expressing delight. Remember there is a world of difference of complaining about something and doing something about it. I look forward to seeing you next season standing in the rain selling tickets and missing some of the match as a result. Dont think 81 would have the energy Roy .He spends Saturdays writing abusive e mails I like to know why he applied to join the supporters club recently ? Any ideas? I’ve plenty of energy GT, it’s time that isn’t always on my side. BTW, I’ve not applied to join the SC, who gave you that rouge piece of information? I did email Jim Chappel saying I would meet him to talk. Is this you Jim?

Did they have any say in the SC reporting WAQ to the EFL? This is the key point to me, I don’t recall the SC making a public statement this was going to happen at the backing of his members. The SC is rammed full of good people, it’s a shame that all of their names are being dragged through the mud with this point scoring game.

I was waiting to see if the SC had anything substantial to warrant a report to the EFL.
Since it appears they took about 2 minutes to dismiss the SC, it would seem not.
In which case it was a bit silly to escalate it outside. Makes them look stupid and discredits the football club.
What next, I wonder?
We shouldn't carry on forever with no fans' representative on the Board. I believe they have said they are happy to have someone, just not KM.

Police, council and national press next probably....if that's not been done already.

The sooner we reduce this £29m debt the better. We'll have to get Bennett and his £5500 per week wages off of the wage bill soon then

Unless Rees is talking in total riddles Rovers must have had some involvement in the FM talks if it involved "various configurations of the club" etc as I doubt the FM developers/agents can discuss our future set up with the Mayor w/o involving the club in those talks? There's always the danger the talks were with just Masters & Hamer etc but surely somebody must have spoken to the ALQ's to get there views when they own over 90% of the club? Speaking on BBC Radio Bristol on Wednesday night, Mayor of Bristol Rees was questioned by host Laura Rawlings about the Fruit Market but remained tight-lipped on specifics regarding the future of Rovers as he claimed it would potentially jeopardise the deal:
"We want the club to flourish. There are conversations going on regarding various configurations of the club that I'm not going to get into on air," Rees told BBC Radio Bristol.
"We're the most pro-sports administration the city has ever had. It's a big part of the city's future to have mass participation and world class events.
"Now, world class events take world class facilities. We want to support all of our sport teams to have world class facilities.
"The specifics are obviously very sensitive areas and it's not something I can talk about. It's great for radio but wouldn't be great for Bristol Rovers.
We have a good relationship with the clubs and we'll support the clubs.
"In terms of specifics I won't go into them if me sharing them on air won't be great for the sports clubs.
"I think the club and the city are very ambitious. The fans want great facilities and I'm not going to give the BBC material that could cost the club's futures.
"We'll support the clubs in pursuing what they think they need to succeed as clubs in the future on a sustainable basis."There is literally nothing in that article that says the mayor says BRFC are in talks with the Fruit Market. Where's the quote that says that, Topper? The bits you've highlighted certainly say nothing of the sort. I never suggested that BRFC were in talks with the FM, I can't recall anybody has ever suggested we were speaking to them directly?

Being involved "in the talks" about the FM is not the same as talking directly to the FM owners.

I said something similar a while back. There's no way Wael isn't involved in this, if it is or was actually true. The mythical investors would need to have him on board from the outset. Some would say he would be the last person you would want on board who the dog , sainsburies ceo or kingswood canvas

I dont disagree but I'm tired of the lies, mistruths and revisionist ideas that are being repeated ad nauseam by a handful of people. The FM site was being talked about on 20man, the Post and on here and so it was inevitable that Wael would have to eventually address it. I think we’re all tired of this saga now! Only the under 50's i fear

I know why Masters was banned. It was his fault and nobody else. As for the SC I left them at the time we played Barnsley away in the FA Cup. I wouldn't rejoin ever. Its time for the club to have a membership scheme for discounts and for travel. f**k the SC There was a great guy and avid fan who was providing that and independently of the club. He was regularly getting requests to run more coaches but he was called into the office & told to stop. It’s a great shame as he was providing a cheap alternative and was doing stops that were close to your door. It wasn’t the SC who stopped him.

All gone very quiet again now that the EFL rejected this out of hand.
I wonder what will they come up with next?
