Question is 'is any body really bothered what they do given these worrying times for every one?' Yes or we wouldn't be on a football forum. People need other things to take thier minds of the virus. Obviously health is the most important thing, but when safe, people need other things in thier lives. Yes when safe agreed, and its good to have debates on here ,but as to when or if football returns and in what form, it is very low down on the publics list of priorities, if its on there at all. imo.

I've watched a few games with no fans and It is sh** without the fans there. It really isn't the same at all.
However needs must and the priority must be to get the season finished so I guess we will just have to grin and bear it.
Interesting thing for me is what will happen with season tickets? I've got an ifollow account, what is going to happen with the matches I would normally have watched on there if not shown on there?

“Riding her like a Grifter” wow Pulitzer Prize on it’s way! I preferred a chopper myself. I ended up with a Raleigh Shopper, terrible misunderstanding. True story TBH the basket on the back was handy asfck

Has anyone ever watched a behind closed doors game on TV, it’s dire. When this started I watched a couple of Italian Serie A games which would normally be really entertaining. These weren’t, it was awful. Would much rather the league chairmen played darts to decide the season, give Liverpool the cup and all go home. Watched some of the trophy games in ifollow, that were basically behind closed doors. No atmosphere or anything, but it was still a way of watching the gas. Better than nothing. The atmosphere at the Trophy games actually wasn’t too bad as those that went were reasonably packed in the areas used. My point really should have been more about how much income can be generated by showing behind closed doors games. I agree it’s a way of watching and whilst some fans will pay it’ll be a very small percentage of those that normally attend. It may cost more to stage a game than is received in revenue.

I liked the concept that Borussia Monchengladbach fans had, which was to fill the stands with cutouts of the faces of season ticket holders. Can you imagine JCH slotting home a penalty in the last minute to beat Rochdale at home and him going over to celebrate with the “Fans”. Virtual scenes.

Me too, but unless I misunderstood it I think games would be showed on iFollow? Don't think they've decided a platform yet? It was suggested in the EFL open letter I posted a link to on BBB's very similar thread to this one: "And whilst we are unfortunately without the presence of the hundreds of thousands of supporters who pass through EFL turnstiles each week, we will endeavour to bring live football direct into your homes once it returns. Plans are continuing to be worked up for all games to be broadcast either via our broadcast partners, iFollow or equivalent Club streaming services. We will update you on this once we know when matches will recommence." Given iFollow is already set up at most EFL ground then it seems the obvious platform to use, although not sure who's going to pay £10 a match if we're playing 3 times a week.

We have made money previously and that is when people can attend games. Can't remember the exact figures, but Gorringe tweeted the amount before. So if we make a profit when only showing games abroad or on an evening. You would like to think we would make a profit when people can't do anything else. I'm sure loads would pay at the moment. Nothing else to do 😂

Just wondering how people think clubs will manage to produce any sort normal performances if the season were to resume, even behind closed doors. By the time any games are played there will be hardly any family in this country not deeply affected by this virus. That will include players, staff and supporters. Will players manage to sustain any competitive edge or will the games play out like testimonials. Games that previously would be easily assessed will now be almost impossible to predict the outcome of. A club previously flying high may have players psychologically wounded by this experience and have lost all their competitive edge. If the season is to resume the outcomes would be fairly meaningless. As time goes on I think the chances of resuming this season are becoming much smaller. I’d imagine firstly the EFL leagues will be abandoned whilst the Premier League cling on as long as possible. Surely now in light of this national disaster there must come a desire to take a step back, abandon the season and find a way to use the Premier Leagues wealth to help in the nations recovery. www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/I think this link indicates how far we are from football in this country. Death rates increasing again shows how tenuous any improvement in the situation is. Gove’s comments on the news has shown the government aren’t even considering ending the lockdown. Our country’s handling of this has been shameful, priorities have to change.

I think the Chairman of each club should play games of Subbuteo, 15 minutes each way. Make the pitches 3 metres long and 2 metres wide, then they will be social distancing too
