Heard today the guy that books cars into the rovers car park has sadly passed.
Never knew his name but was a lovely bloke

Yes, unfortunately it is correct. Confirmed on the club website, really sad to see another Gashead pass away.
Threads like these are sadly too common on this board at the moment.
If you don't mind I've updated the title to include his name. RIP Nigel.

Top man very rarely missed a game home or away will be a massive loss to the gas especially all the south bristol boys and girls RIP Nige god bless you

Really sorry to hear that Nigel has passed away - there has never been a more loyal Rovers supporter. Not just simply a Gashead but a man who would go out of his way to help others and has managed the car parking at every home game in the last 30 years - with very, very few exceptions.
Rest in Peace Nigel, I will miss our chats.

Really sad news about Nigel-He was a good friend to many people. He worked for me as a sub -contract plumber for a number of years. He would always give me a call on away games and let me know what pub to meet up in. Home games we always meet up in the Wellington and walking down the hill towards the ground after a few beers Nigel was always there ready to have a chat.
Saying he will be truly missed does not really put what has happened into context but words are all we have.
