Guessing Sheffield Utd turned him down as they will have lost lots of sponsorship. Maybe we will get Hughes now?

That was my initial thought! I really can't believe it! It would be absolutely horrifying if anyone signed him but if Nailsea Community Payback FC did I might just die laughing despite myself.

The Sheffield United owner, Kevin McCabe is also a director of Central Coast Mariners. For a while I was concerned they may ship (transport ) the rapist over here for a while. Just for half a season loan until the dust settled. Now thinking about it he probably wouldn't get a a visa, and besides which I assume he's on parole.

It won't be easy for Ched to get a club. A convicted rapist cannot perform a job where likely to work with vulnerable people, i.e. Young and elderly. Sharing facilities with youth teams and fulfilling obligations with community projects (something all pro footballers do) will possibly prevent Ched getting a job in football.

How can they loan a player who isn't under contract?

Well I know they have lost sponsors/people disassociating themselves with the club already so maybe they know Sheff Utd are planning to sign him. Maybe we'll sign him if they don't?

Probably still a very decent striker but any club would be mad to sign him with the problems that surround him. Yes he may get you 10 goals before the season finishes but chances are, you will also lose lots of fans and potentially sponsors along the way.
