Brilliant match announcer full of fun an banter in a non-PC age, had an affinity with th crowds an of course there on th pitch with his mic in a time that turned out in a lot of folks opinion ta be our greatest seasons.
Rest In Peace Keith, you made us laugh. Condolences ta friends an family at your sad time.

Anyone remember: "And the referee is available for pantomime bookings" on the final whistle at Twerton one match?!
Haha!
Star!

A bad week for both Bristol clubs losing real characters of the game in Buster and Keith. Very different people but all added to the colour of being at a match. Doubt we’ll see their like again in the modern game. RIP to them both This. RIP Buster and Keith, condolences to their families.

Rest In Peace Keith. Although I do remember going to games in the Twerton era, I was too young to really remember his PA during those years, but his reputation has always stuck and I'm sure he will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

So sad to hear this and sending condolences to his family and friends. RIP Keith. He was very much a part of our wonderful memories of Twerton. He encapsulated the thumbing of our noses at the difficulties we faced as a club back then. His humour was too gentle to really upset anyone and reflected his showman and entertainer qualities. Like others around at the time, the Dunfords, Gerry and the players he had the ability to operate outside of the box and raise us to a higher plane so we were able to more than compete. He was unique a true Gashead and he, together with his humour, will always live on in the folklore of Bristol Rovers

"and here is Junior Bent" "and he probably is" Haha! Brutal! Oh yeah I was there then for that one.. Probably the same time as Bob Taylor being a homosexual AND offside.

Back in the early noughties I was out drinking with friends and we were in the Brunel Wine Bar in Clifton. Also in the bar was Keith who joined in our conversation reminiscing about the times at Twerton.
Suddenly one of our group said that they would pay £3000 to see Keith at The Mem with the Mic.
Keith said that there was no chance of that happening. I promptly phoned Geoff Dunford, told him of the offer, handed the phone to Keith and soon after Keith made his one and only guest appearance at The Mem.
RIP Keith. Certainly not PC but highly entertaining at a time when life was difficult for the club.
