Does this perhaps mean something is happening about the stadium? Previously it was said that investment into the training ground would only take place once something’s been done on the stadium front. Things might of changed since then though because we were at the end of the current lease.

That did run through my head but I expect it’s due to the lease on Cribbs Hope they’ve got some budget for them alarms that scare off foxes!

Christ, didn't expect that during the midst of this pandemic.... what on earth?
Great news though, don't get me wrong.

Good news - perhaps they decided with house prices about to bomb they may as well use it for a few years until the land values go back up ...... :-)
With a couple of decent pitches and no need for spectators next season we could play our home games there and sell the Mem ..... :-) Move the tents up there ready for our start in Non-league following a couple of years with Ben in charge. Sorry, only joking .....

Eat your heart out, DC 😁
This is really, really good news. Well done to Wael and all involved.
I'm really impressed by this. Nice to have some good news during tough times.

This is great news. Realistically I suspect that once this first phase of work is complete many people will be underwhelmed with what has been built. But for me it's a footprint for the club to grow from. Hopefully it will ultimately lead to the development of a high quality facility that the club can be proud of. In the meantime simply having our own facilities is a step in the right direction. Well done Wael.

Great news - but apparently no application with South Gloucestershire Council Planning?

Ha, well done Gasincider. I passed on the rumour about a new training ground to a Gashead acquaintance a couple of weeks ago (after reading his post), and felt like a dick. Now I can pretend I was ITK all along.

Smart move in my opinion. with so much uncertainty with the economy glooming over us contractors are tendering for bids at a much lower rate at the moment.

Great news - but apparently no application with South Gloucestershire Council Planning? There is one that already has planning permission based on the Rugby club

Thanks for the early heads up Gasincider.
Lots of humble pie on the menu today.
Now lets all look forward to seeing a state of the art training ground, something that the club hasn't had since the days of Hambrook.

Henbury was right - a certain ITK poster has made himself look a right KNOB.

This is great news. Listening to the recent Gas Cast podcast interviews with DC and Virgo they both highlighted the importance of Rovers having their own training facilities. At least we know one forum member has his finger on the pulse.

Well, if you want to set your sights as low as possible (maybe wise) what's the minimum you can imagine that includes this: "... first-team pitches and training area, gym, medical area, changing facilities, staff offices and communal areas." Three second hand containers and a picnic bench?
