Bless, Nobby lost an argument. He then proceeded to threaten me multiple times, call me every name under the sun & make up things that I've said. Then he quit the forum. His followers seem to think that saying to him "god help your kids" is worse than threatening someone. Poor Nobby, he was such an innocent soul, did nothing wrong to no one ever. In fact, Marshy himself started calling myself and another poster a c***. Let me guess, you did nothing wrong either? Frankly he's lucky I don't report his threats to the police. Maybe I should report him seemiing as Marshy & eric love to keep bringing it up how I'm such a villain. I wonder what they'd think of the situation Not trying to gang up on Nobby, but I totally agree with you. If he saw himself as losing an argument, he'd immediately start insulting you or the source of information. Think people tried putting it down to him fishing or being WUM, but it didn't come across that way with his vitriol towards anyone opposed to his views. |

Another pointless thread, mods please delete. Wasting your time. The mod in question will never admit any flaws, will always want the final word and his opinion is better and more important than anyone else. Nobby did the right thing stepping away as it had become very toxic and abusive while the other party won’t let it go. Anyway, time to move on and he’ll soon run out of people to ‘debate’ with soon anyway - the general threads will just become completely full of people of the same political persuasion. |

The reality is if course that debates have been had, differing opinions been expressed, without anyone throwing a hissy fit or resorting to personal attacks. So much so that Big Jock who, as far as I can tell, rarely posts on this section saw fit to mention this fact.
In addition since all that stopped more people have contributed which has been refreshing.
Now the only people who are complaining about Nobby's decision to no longer take part, asserting that somehow he was forced off due to personal attacks, are the very ones who are doing it, by attacking Gassy, rather offer a rebuttal to his opinion.

That was a direct reply to gassy for calling out Eric and Marshy, if you start at the beginning of the corona thread Eric gives his reasons for leaving for a while, as far as i can remember it was feck all to do with anything he said ,he just needed a few weeks of to clear his swede. |

His response was that the gloves were off. In GC there are no mods and never have been but maybe that was a mistake on my part because I was the one who pushed for a GC section and I have always advocated for it to remain unfettered. See the words god help your (insert whatever) is a threat, simple as, using the phrase god help your kids, can also mean your kids need help, again simple as, it can also be a slight on a parent etc. I've been moderated on here as have others. I've no beef with you Hugo, as an admin or mod even dare i say it a human of sorts i have massive respect for you.
