It t was the Defined Benefit schemes that were under threat as they hold a considerable amount of Government Bonds. Given the yield increases they were about to offload them which would have devastated the Bond market and it is those that BoE stepped in and bought off them. Quantitative Easing, again, just when they wanted to do the opposite to try and put the brake on inflation. This is disorganised chaos, started by an incompetent Government. Started by an incompetent government to fix problems created by an incompetent government. All government's are incompetent it's a matter of degrees😮,this two week old one is right up there.

Its legacy will cast a shadow long after they go, that's quite a degree of incompetence. 🙃 Party Conference next week, Liz Truss should be front and centre. Where is she??

Speaking of incompetence, have a look at the BBC News website there's an article on the complete shambles the Welsh government have made of the NHS,3m people in Wales of which three quarters are awaiting treatment,no workforce plan etc etc. Can't wait for Winter to arrive😟😟

On April 19 this year I contrived to snap both my Tubular and Fibula in a fall at work in Abergavenny 09:30 am. The bad bit: I had to wait 4 hours for an ambulance. I was then taken to Monmouth, Neville Hall, which has had 90% of its facilities closed and has no doctors on duty. Their X ray facility was open, diagnosis confirmed and nurses applied a thick to toe plaster. 8pm I am transferred to Cwmbran, new general hospital. There I sat in the ambulance until 04:30am in the car park. Sat in a chair until 8am. Then laid on a trolley in the Assessment Unit until PM April 21st. Operation that day. The good bit. The care was good from the post op nurses, single room with ensuite. Discharged after 3 days ambulance took me back to Gloucestershire. The very good bit. Follow up appointments were arranged and District Nurse visit to home (different board) organised. Physio arranged. All appointments were made and never cancelled. The follow ups with the surgical team were in Newport, the fracture clinic was well organised and at every appointment I was in, X ray taken, seen and out again within the hour. The issue in A&E is across the whole of the UK. It's chaos. The issue with long term waiting lists is again, across the whole of the UK. Covid, on top of over a decade of Tory Government funding constraints and top down mismanagement (don't forget the chaos inflicted by Andrew Lansley) has led us to this. The Welsh Government is funded in no small part by the Barnett Formula "Block Grant", the value ordained by Westminster. Any squeeze on spending by the national government is reflected in its value, regardless of local need in the devolved countries. Aim your fire at the right people.

I think it was Radio Lincolnshire that asked her how she was going to address the financial distress caused by the infamous statement last Friday. She just read from a script, she is wooden at the best of times, but it was awful. If Labour under Kier Starmer cannot ride a coach and horse through this lot they don't deserve power. No "Brexit" safety valve this time, no Jeremy Corbyn to give them a free pass.

I get the bigger issue but for god's sake get the basic non monetary components of running a business/process right .

No "Brexit" safety valve this time, no Jeremy Corbyn to give them a free pass. Sky News picked up on this too. "The same scripted answer you've given to every local radio station' An exasperated local radio host has challenged Liz Truss over her repeated answers this morning. James Hanson on BBC Radio Bristol said Ms Truss was giving "the same scripted answers" - in what was her seventh local radio interview since 8am. She was asked numerous times about listeners' concerns, and the massive unease in markets since the mini-budget last week. In every interview, Ms Truss has talked about global factors like the war in Ukraine. Mr Hanson challenged the prime minister about whether she was blaming Vladimir Putin for the Bank of England's intervention yesterday."

What is it ….. over 100k vacances in the National Health ? There are no vacancies if you do not intend to treat anyone. 😂 Reminds me of the argument from my American friends... "Your system is crap, I never have to wait in America, there is no real waiting list" So "Yeah but that's easy to achieve if you exclude 30% of your population from insurance coverage, therefore denying them equal access"
