Thank god a GE is 2 years off, so we have time to sort things out. Scary prospect of having Kier Starmer in Nbr 10

Just a thought, the PM is chosen because they can 'command a majority'.
If the Conservatives are so split that the leader cannot command a majority then they are a minority government. 🙈

I'm assuming that No.10 hasn't been redecorated yet, so if Boris gets back in he won't have to ring round Tory Donors for a paint job

I see the tabloids have turned on the very woman they were fervently promoting to solve all our economic woes a month and a half ago.

Penny Mourdant has confirmed to stand. Allegedly has said Hunt would remain Chancellor and they would deliver the fiscal statement
Smart move from Penny, getting it out there that there won't be anymore mass upheval or changing direction. Obviously depends on who else stands, gets the nominations, but she has a good chance by getting out there by not being the rock the boat candidate

Safe pair of hands after the Truss disaster and the party will want to revert to normal service. I can't believe they will seriously entertain the prospect of Boris returning. It's too risky.

It’ll be Johnson I think now he’s chucked his hat in the ring ( and the fact they are all bloody deluded ) . Loads of Tory MP’s will then resign and we’ll end up with a general election in 3 months time .

I can see a 2/3 way split among the Tories and if Boris makes it in there it's 100% his. (PS, did he actually confirm he's running then? Haven't seen that yet)

I can see two possibilities, either it'll be a run off with the membership between BJ and Sunak (although I'm not sure it's a done deal of Boris winning) or he'll split the anti Rishi element with Mordaunt and Sunak wins without a membership vote.

By all accounts, treasury officials from Venezuela and Zimbabwe are in discussions with the UK government and are giving advice on how to stabilise the economy.
