Personally I'd have started in Scotland and the North, then extend south later. What, throw even more money Wee Jimmy’s way that can be stolen if they ever get independence? Great idea, any more? Bearing in mind it wouldn't work like that anyway, maybe if Scotland could see genuine infrastructure projects funded by central government then they may not feel aggrieved and want to leave in the first place. As for the principle of starting north and moving south, it would concentrate minds to finish it. By going north, it remains at the whim of politicians who could pull funding at any stage. A Hull to Liverpool line and an Edinburgh to Glasgow line linked up would have a greater economic benefit for the cost than saving a few minutes between London and Birmingham.

Did you even read this before you posted? First paragraph. The equalities watchdog has dropped plans to launch an inquiry into Tory Islamophobia after the party set out new details of its own investigation, which the largest Muslim body in Britain has branded “a facade”. Now have another go at answering the question. Yes, I have read it all, in fact I re-posted it from one of your comrade -in- arms posts about anti-Semitism in the Labour Party. In this article the ECHR says it is satisfied with the terms of reference. Later on it says it will expect regular updates. You will also recall I said the ECHR were keeping tabs, I never said they were conducting the enquiry. Now, who hasn’t read the article correctly?

I wonder what right wing-ers would say if we were in this exact situation under Labour? Would they still be applauding the blatant incompetencies and U-turns? Would still support one of the biggest hit economies, highest cases and deaths? Basically pretty much worst in every way. And before anyone says so, yes - I’d be f**king livid if this happened under a Labour government. To the point I’m not sure I’d ever vote for them again. Bump. No takers on this from the other side? I’m flabbergasted Get to the back of the queue, I've still got a few unanswered posts. 🤔

You are now desperately trying to row yourself out of looking a bit foolish. You accused me of not reading the article. I have and the ECHR has said it is satisfied and will expect regular updates. I think from that it is safe to assume they are keeping tabs on the enquiry, which is all I said. As for how the enquiry is going, I have no idea. The Conservative party and ECHR don’t keep me in the loop with regard to their activities. So there you are, I’ve said I don’t know and haven’t tried to BS in any way. Perhaps, if you know, you’d be good enough to share? Its interesting how this has all suddenly become topical following the revelation that the Labour Party is riven with racism, the old leader has denied this and been kicked out, and the Union paymasters are gearing up for a fight. This Conservative enquiry hasn’t been brought up as a means of deflection, can it? Surely not!

You have made yourself look foolish. No-one can help you with that. So I suggest you keep a low profile for a while, I can almost see your embarrassment from here.

You’re right; we get £13 billion robbed from the public purse and sent abroad every year in foreign aid. How far towards alleviating your perceived poverty in this country would that go? £9 billion for track and trace. I'll let that go in, £9 billion for track and trace. How much for HS2? And we've got a football player sorting food for kids. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. I asked you to explain why I should be ashamed of myself. I asked this yesterday and have had no answer. I know you’re online at the moment, so how about an answer?

As far as I can remember we weren’t dealing with Covid and track and trace last year so what are you saying? You got a crystal ball or something? I assume you voted Labour at the last election. Are you ashamed you supported a proven racist anti-Semite. Mow THATS something to be ashamed of, not having a different political view to someone. And don’t try cracking you didn’t know what he was, because even the Labour supporting Board of Deputies withdrew support for Labour over it’s anti - Semetic views. Plus there were Labour MPs saying how they had been hounded out by Labour activists, one of whom was congratulated on stage by Steptoe.
