100% she should go. She won't though. And if she doesn't it just makes what the current government do even more acceptable. Which isn't healthy for anyone. And she'll be re-elected (possibly in coalition with the Greens) claiming a mandate for IndyRef2. She will have to go if the independent Hamilton inquiry comes to the same conclusion, this will also damage the SNP in the polls.

Think the hard core indies think she hasn't been doing enough for independence anyway?

Think the hard core indies think she hasn't been doing enough for independence anyway? That's my understanding too, there is a split in the SNP between the Salmond wing and the Sturgeon wing. If/when she does go, it will cause quite an internal fight for the future direction. Joanna Cherry was sidelined for that reason, I'd expect her to make a move for top spot.

It weakens the Indy cause anyway which is a bonus for Westminster. So my understanding is - salmond was accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour, went to court and he was cleared by a jury (they found no legitimate evidence to prosecute him)... And now accusations that he was stitched up by the SNP with false charges? Typically ridiculous behaviour from the elites (both sides here), yet they still cling to power?

Or Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon Robert Jenrick Hard to imagine that Johnson, Patel, Hancock, Jendrick, Raab, Gove actually attempt to run the country. A collection of absolutely insidious cretins.

I'm genuinely torn on which way this will go, politicians don't resign on principle these days, she'll want to brazen it out and then get re-elected. The only way I can see her going is either the Greens withdrawal support or it causes a split in the party (edit: by that I mean either behind the scenes or a very visual vote of no confidence at Holyrood). Her popularity is still high, it has dragged on a bit so had probably already been factored in subconsciously by the electorate.

Have we become immune to moral lapses? Ask Pritti Patel If I did, I'll probably end up on Ascension Island or Gibraltar. 😶

£330 billion loaned by government to pay for COVID in a year, £90 billion was last month alone. £37 billion for a failed track and trace.
How long will that take to pay back? Austerity and cutting of public services on the way then.
The eurozone covid relief was £750 billion euros for 25+ countries.

No doubt they’ll be parroting the lines that they can give money to x y or z project because they’ve looked after the public finances but fail to acknowledge they’ve more than doubled the national debt .

A lot of it siphoned off by ministers into their chums pockets. But that's ok isn't it. The wealthy worked hard for that money, the poor spongers on benefits can pay it back with cuts. Tory utopia for a few aristocrats and their wannabes.

Immigrants and the poor have been blamed for peoples grievances for decades, the easiest target for the ignorant.
