Hancock statement “I am very sorry” “I accept that I breached social distancing guidance in these circs. I have let people down & am very sorry. I remain focused on working to get country out of this pandemic, & wld be grateful for privacy for my family on this personal matter”

As for getting caught on a security camera snogging the other woman, I mean, I thought he was stupid but that takes the biscuit.

There was an article that other day suggesting Hancock was after greater control of the NHS and even No 10 were getting cold feet. Then shortly afterwards, this video was leaked. Coincidence? Wouldn't surprise me to there being a connection. Edit: I think this was the story, www.google.com/amp/s/inews.co.uk/news/matt-hancock-nhs-reform-opposition-1068228/amp

The PM has accepted Hancocks apology and considers the matter closed! Your government at work folks, held to high standards by the general public.

You can just imagine the cries of hypocrisy if Johnson dared be critical... And this is exactly the point isn't it. You HAVE to have a leader who leads by example or else NOBODY can be held accountable. When did we decide to accept such horrifically low standards? Not just general population but also the Tory Party when electing their leader post May.

I did wonder about the by-election. "Conservative MPs privately joined opposition demands for him to be sacked and scientists and relatives of Covid victims condemned the behaviour of the minister, who is braced for further revelations over the weekend. i understands angry Tories have protested to their whips over the episode, warning that the public backlash could cost the party votes in next week’s crucial Batley and Spen by-election. An ex-minister said: “It just looks like one rule for us and another for everyone else.” Sky News last night reported that Roberto Coladangelo, who is understood to be Ms Coladangelo’s brother, is an executive at a private healthcare company which won a string of NHS contracts." inews.co.uk/news/politics/matt-hancock-braced-revelations-senior-tories-call-gone-monday-1072645/amp?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=upday
