Thank f*ck for that.
How bad does this make Boris look though? The fact that he considered the matter closed from his apology and Hancock resigned himself? Shocking.
Wonder what Cummings will do/say now?

Wonder what Cummings will do/say now? Thing is Boris cant say much as he's a serial shagger and it's never done him much harm. Shoots Cummings fox methinks.

Well I more meant from breaking social distancing rules, the affair I don’t think many care about, within reason. Cummings surely out of ammo for now and will head back from under the rock he came from?

What I am surprised about is 1. Why did he not know there was a CCTV camera there. I believe this was in his office area ? (But maybe I got that wrong?) 2. No one is, it seems, questioning who then leaked this still/footage. This was, I assume inside a “secure” Government office area, and thus there must surely be questions raised about how this got into the press? But seemingly not. Well at the moment anyway.
Not defending him or his actions in any way, shape or form by the way.
But surely, no matter what the motivation, there has to be questions asked about the very act of “stealing” (if that is not too strong a word) this video footage. And what else may be released and to whom on other sensitive matters that are maybe not meant for public consumption or are so publicly sensational but of interest to people who may wish to do harm in other ways to this country. Don’t want to get too sensational on it but it is worrying/ intriguing.

True but the Civil Service won't want to look too deep, government will want to avoid extending the embarrassment with a leak inquiry and the press won't want to turn off a lucrative source of information. Normal jogging until the next one.

Agree a complete idiot and his resignation was inevitable, as for Cummings he has no redeeming features,a nasty individual with nothing good to say about anyone, how someone like that ended up at the heart of government is beyond me.
