At the other end of the scale Chelsea’s training ground has 30 pitches. Man City have training pitches with different surfaces so the first team can train on a pitch that matches their next opponents’. Still love ours though. Do they have a mud and sand one in case they draw Halifax away in the FA Cup?

2 is ok for the first team. When we want the youth team to train at the same venue, we will need more though. Eventually they want all the squads to train at the same venue. This is great for our first team though and a good start. Yeah, I think that was Liverpool's plan, too. Their senior training ground was too small for the youth squads, so they had to move the senior squad to the academy centre. I notice Man City's training ground is called 'AON Training Complex'. I heard the teds' new training facility is going to be called 'Superiority Complex'.

It’s bloody weird that they can sell naming rights for a venue that normal people don’t get to visit. I get why - because it’s in the news a lot - but it doesn’t change the fact it’s bonkers.

I don't suppose anyone has the Facebook videos from BRFC easily accessable on youtube? I'd love to send the link to my Father.

In five months we’re on our third name (The Colony, The Almondsbury Training Centre, The Quarters) and we haven’t finished the car park yet. 😀

There were reports that City had done this under Johnson, turned out it was just a normal sized screen though.

It looks fantastic, absolutely fantastic. Well done to everybody involved.
Mind you, it shows how long I've been away from civilisation, or it shows how many new faces that have come in over that time - but I have to 'fess up to the fact that I couldn;t put a name to more than 50% of the players in the photos!!!!!

The latest tweet from AlmondsburyGas shows that construction of the clubhouse is underway.

All praise to Wael, we should name the training ground after him and his family for making this happen.
