Groundsmen busy this morning with their Iseki tractor and attachment of spiking machine. Not sure if it's for aeration or drainage. Or both. Brickies busy on clubhouse. Excavaters hard at it. Mercedes service van parked for 2nd day. Attending to all the Mercs while players are training...... For anyone curious about the ground staff’s shiny new equipment - it must add up to the tens of thousands. www.thwhite.co.uk/whites-world/bristol-rovers/That's very insightful! Thanks for the share womble , a real chance to get some in-depth info and I read that article with a smile. Very positive and professional development that made me proud to think "that's my club they're talking about" 🔵🔵🔵

Very positive and professional development that made me proud to think "that's my club they're talking about" 🔵🔵🔵 It certainly is! I thought the tractor looked new. Must have been the Terra Spike it was using. Yes, the article is very interesting - especially the rocks bit. Shows how complicated it can be.

There are now 4 excavaters working on the far side. Levelling out all the spoil from previous activities. Clubhouse work seems to have stalled. Member of staff stopped to talk to me and explained the water system. Apparently water from the whole site drains into a lagoon or sink. It's then pumped into the large tank and recycled. Clever stuff.

I hope they seriously consider having one or two away training pitches. Its all very well having a great surface at the mem and training ground. The players though also need to be prepared when visiting some of the terrible surfaces they have played on this season. So one boggy pitch for sure.

I’d imagine too much of an injury risk Though they managed to train out at frys fine for years and hambrook got pretty goopy. I think its an option worth considering.

Roof joists are there this morning, along with a crane to lift them into place. Excavaters busy on far side - one is only just visible as it is digging out a massive pit /hole. Not sure what that's all about.

The pitches in the championship are all pretty good. There will be no need to concern ourselves with lower league problems soon

I'm really looking forward to this episode of Grand Designs. Oh hang on don't they usually run out of money? Who said that.

Some pics on FB of the roof going up on the clubhouse (or whatever it’s called). Coming along nicely by the looks of things. Hopefully players and staff will be allowed to use it by the time it’s all finished.

Looks like they're levelling a new area, too.

I can't see how all this work can be carrying on now that the designer of this whole project, Ben Garner, has left the club?

Road outside Quarters gate dug up by Bristol Water for connecting Quarters to main. Most of the trusses in place on clubhouse, but not all. Landscaping in full swing on far side.
