Pitches look nice but that red brick building looks a bit local clubhouse. Id expect a much more futuristic and aesthetic looking design from a football club in 2021. Where's the branding? Looks like anyone could train there not the home of BRFC. Hmm not overly impressed tbh. The building is in the style of a local clubhouse because that’s what the existing planning permission looked like. The external design dates from 2001. The building isn’t open yet, branding is usually about the last thing to be added. There are no permanent signs at the entrance either, but give it some time and they will appear. Just saw this from Almondsbury Gas,

It's also in keeping with the area, which is Green Belt, which is what the planners apparently wanted, hence, why the architects choose not to go with something futuristic, no doubt if they had and had the plans turned down poster would be questioning why we needed something which wasn't in keeping with the surroundings.

The main requirement of a training ground isn’t the state of the art changing rooms ,its the quality of the pitches & I would say the 2 new main pitches are as good if not better than most clubs. After years of Rovers teams moving from pillar to post & using factory & local sports facilities to train , the Quarters might not be perfect but it’s definitely a major improvement on previous years with a scope to improve & develop in the future.

Why can't the club just publish the names on the OS as well, as surely they don't expect 3.000/4.000 season tickets holders to travel to the Quarters just to see if their name is shown?

Can imagine that would go down well just sticking everyone's name online without their permission. I know I wouldn't be happy.

It’s the sign with the season ticket holder’s names on. The crest on the board is better than our current badge. Definitely have that as our club crest. Would be a much better brand and merchandise seller with that on.

As long as it has the facilities required what difference does it make to have a futuristic looking building with logos on it, in a field in the middle of nowhere

I doubt it'll be too long before someone takes a decent HD photo and uploads it online anyway.

twerton1992, I am lost that you are not impressed with the Headquarters. I am astonished that we even have our own training ground let alone two pitches of amazing quality that most teams would be proud of as their actual pitch. The buildings are only important for what they will contain not what they look like. I would much rather have this than continue to look at visionary designs of a stadium that has not and I doubt will ever come to fruition. I have a feeling that those who happen to be around in 2070 will still be at the Mem and still in League 1 ,League 2 or the National League.

Fully agree with above, but here's hoping by 2030 we have a shinny new stadium. (not holding my breath). If we don't, we will be heading for non league and by 2070 one of those teams that old folk talk romantically about.

I imagine in 20270, the new stadium thread will have reached 1 million pages, big jock’s ‘what’s for dinner thread’ will have become a major cooking series on Netflix and we’ll still be debating whether Billy Bodin can come back and do a job for us.

Quite literally, watching grass grow and watching paint dry. "I can hear the grass grow" - The Move. "I see rainbows in the evening".
