Anyone got an update? With the forecast rain hopefully its been seeded? I took a look there last week and there were two tractors with what I believe were attachments to plant seed. Also vehicles belonging to Premier Pitches (as opposed to M J Abbott). They do the actual pitch so hopefully it has been seeded.

Dropped by today. Premier Pitches still much in evidence. Main pitch being rolled (flat) which, from my extensive agricultural experience years ago, means it's been seeded. They seemed to be seeding the second smaller pitch. Abbot's seemed to be working on the watering system, burying blue piping. There has been a large circular tank in place for a few weeks - assume a reservoir for water to service the watering system.

Drove from Leicester to Devon today and couldn’t resist a detour off the M5 to take a peak. Some work happening even though Sunday - a tractor going up and down the pitch farthest from the gates, with something behind it (more seeding?).
Didn’t realise how easy access is from the motorway. Also noticed some quite nice houses in and around the area, which I’m sure a league 1 wage would cover!

I was in the area last night and stopped by to see what was going on. Really friendly security guard on the gate who had a good chat with me for ages about what was going on.
The pitch to the right of the entrance gate is starting to sprout, you can see the large patches of green coming through the surface. It was a large area that looks bigger than the Mem pitch so I assume that to be a pitch and a half which incorporates the GK area? Correct me if that’s wrong. Amazing to see how much the pitch level has been raised too, must be at least 3ft
I got there around 7pm and there was still a few guys on the far side of pitch going up and down on a tractor. That area looked constructed but no growth so I’m assuming it’s not been seeded or just being seeded.
Suffice to say that the whole site has so much potential. You can easily fit another 3 full size pitches on the footprint and still have room for buildings to go with it and what has been done in the short space of time from announcement has been incredible.
I did take a couple of photos but having trouble uploading them.

On the subject of uploading photos to here, anyone know how to do it from an iPhone? If I can I’ll take some and post them.

You need to upload the photos to an image hosting site like Flickr (there are several free ones to be found). Then copy the bb code from the hosting site into your post. It’s a bit of a faff the first time you do it, but you soon get used to it.

Is it on the Bristol side of the M5 or the Welsh side? It’s on the Gloucestershire side of the M4. If you were to draw a line from the M4 through the TG and on I doubt it would ever touch Wales. Love Oldgas. President of the Pedant Society!
