We'll have to see the end results, but without wanting to sound ungrateful etc, I don't know why we couldn't have just built a bespoke purpose built training facility in one go (like Fleetwood for example), rather than make use of barns and derelict buildings already on the site. If it's a planning permission issue, maybe that should have been considered when drawing up plans and purchasing the land. I can't help looking at the family 'stand' and imagining another similar monstrosity, only this time at the training ground. Excuse the pessimism, but that is what being a Rovers fan has done to me! Fair enough, we've all got bitter experience and some pessimism as a result, but surely you can see this is a step in the right direction? Agreed, however I would qualify yout statement by saying it is a MASSIVE step. The benefit to the players will be enormous and although not a major factor in drawing in new players, it must indicate we are a progressive club with an intent to compete with the bigger clubs in our league. The future is bright, the future is blue and white

Presumably they have seeded the area in the last few days after what they said last weekend, hopefully by next week we’ll see the green shoots of growth. Sorry, had no real news just thought this thread should be on page 1 so I bumped it up. 😉 UTG! This lunchtime the ‘top dressing’ which is at least 12” deep is only covering less than a quarter of the first pitch. Still a lot of work to do to get it ready for seeding. Artics turning up every few minutes with more top dressing - I say dressing, it's not soil, not quite sand. Hope the seed is quick growing.

I like the new gym, a clever nod to the historic and iconic roof of the South Stand. A classy touch. If the trees were cut down it might be visible from the M5. Those blue and white stripes standing out a treat.

A splash of red sets it off nicely. That guttering's a bit wobbly

A splash of red sets it off nicely. That guttering's a bit wobbly I thought that. Doesn't look like it would survive some heavy rain.

The good thing about the training ground location is it's got instant access to the m4 and m5 so players living away from bristol can get there and back easier and quicker.

We've got squad members living miles away from Bristol?

If you listened to Tommy Widds chat/podcast with his mates the other day he said that JB even moved to Salford when he was on loan! So hes defo based in that area currently. No doubt he'll be moving to the west country over the summer.
What a life, not sure if I could do it.
