Didn't she say that she wasn't concerned about the money but wanted her day in court? What Andrew's done is effectively sign a confession as far as the court of public opinion goes. Sightings of him from now on will be as likely as those of Nessie. Oh I'm sure she did. If you're in her position would you rather take Andrew going to jail, a pat on the back and endless interviews or a cool few million to set yourself up for life before going after the next offender? Accepting compensation does not mean you are not a victim. Prison is the only means of justice? With this settlement, it guarantees everyone will think Andrew is guilty. There is no risk of dodgy trial or him being found not guilty on some loophole or technicality. Seems like a sensible decision on her part. I wouldn't trust the legal system in this instance either. |

We all saw Andy's performance on BBC when interviewed which pretty much tells us all we need to know of the compensation, we don't know how much is going to the charity and how much support and assistance that might give other victims |
