With the players reporting tomorrow for a meeting, and physical training commencing on Wednesday, I would expect any deals which are almost over the line to be finalised today. I'm gonna stick my neck out, and predict at least two announcements before close of play.

Not saying you're wrong but where's the evidence training is starting on Wednesday as, if it does, then we'll be one of the first L1 clubs back training/taking players off Furlough.

JCH’s recent Instagram post indicates that training is imminent.

Seems logical that if we’re starting training again you’d want all agreed players there to start too.
This also might play into the Sam Nicholson article that he had a decision to make very soon, if we are starting he’d would him there at the same time as all other new signings.

Well, if it isn't starting on Wednesday, there's going to be a couple of players running around a training ground somewhere, waiting for the rest of the squad to arrive. Maybe BG's message was a joke?

I think the question is where, not when, are we training?
Eastville Park or Weston Beach, just like the good old days?

Hopefully we will announce some signings this week. Most seasons we make the majority of signings, after pre season as started though. So I wouldn't read too much into that. If some of the signings are as advanced as the post reported, you would expect them to sign this week though. If they don't, that's not a good sign and could mean they are waiting for other offers.

JCH’s recent Instagram post indicates that training is imminent. For which club though? 😬

If we sign them this week I assume we have to start paying their wages straight away or we could just wait until their severance pay stops on the 31 July, which seems to be what most clubs are doing given how few transfer are being completed at present. Nicholson being the exception given that he's returning from the states and I assume Hearts are being training already?

Good point - I guess it's a case of weighing up the saving on 10 days wages against the advantage of having the squad together from day one. BG would presumably want the latter, whereas the money men may insist on the former!

You never know when another club will come in for another player and then we could lose out all together. Grant signed on already. So I think we will sign them now, if we can.

The transfer window opens on 27th July next Monday so i would have thought it is more likely that new signings would be next week

All of the players we've been linked with are free agents anyway

Hopefully we've already got contracts signed by them if we're "leaking" names to Sam Frost, although I guess they can always do a Clive Pratt on us if they are not attending training.
