We need an Oztumer type imo. Not sure how he has been doing for Charlton but his future may depend on if Charlton beat the drop Sam Frost has already suggested we're in the market for a CM and striker, with our apparent spending power and Oxford missing out on promotion I'd imagine we could meet Taylor's wage demands, if we were brave enough to re-sign him, he'd have an easy ride at the Mem for at least a few months next season if it's restricted to 1,500/2,000 season ticket holders. Not sure who else is around who could play alongside JCH and is virtually guaranteed to score 15+ goals? I wouldn't be totally against it now...can imagine JCH and the Snake up front...God what am I saying.

What ever happened to him? Retired to become a travelling Daschund salesman in the rolling hills of Bavaria! Got his work cut out with that one.

Only started 11 league games all season and none since the 26th Feb. Is that down to injury, or just being out of favour, do you know Pirate? Out of favour mate. Outstanding player at this level.

Delighted with this signing. Our back line seems more or less complete & will be a force to be reckoned with next season. You could almost forget we have the best goalkeeper in the league playing behind them. Fantastic news & welcome to the Mem Max.

The lack of class in his comments is breathtaking. Talking about another clubs financial situation through sheer sour grapes, I believe he should have stopped at “I don’t know what their personal situation is”. To even bring up the £24million and basically allude to us being some kind of League 1 Manchester City is amazing.

It wasn't long ago he described some of his own fans as 'the lowest of societies low', 'an embarrassment to this great club' and 'a form of cancer that I'm not sure I can heal.'

A disappointing article - Max had a decision to make for the good of himself and his family, a player Gillingham wanted to keep leaves, it has happened to us in the past, and it might happen in the near future with JCH. There was no need for anyone to throw their toys out of the pram and launch a sideswipe at us, clubs look to strengthen certain positions, and players look for the best opportunities.

I didn’t think the article was too bad. Scally is obviously upset we have signed a very popular player and I think his remarks were more for his own fans, basically telling the he couldn’t allow the sort of debt we had.
Doesn’t seem to have worked if Gills fans comments are anything to go by! What did make me smile were their comments about us being below them in the league. That position is only temporary chaps, and even though we were below you we were still getting many more through the gate.
And, you have to appreciate that Gillingham is a no-mark shithole, almost a south London satellite, whereas Bristol is a vibrant, independent city in a much nicer part of the country.
I’m sure Max is going to love it here.

“They have an owner whose family is involved in a bank in Jordan. I’m not sure what they’re financial position is, but they made combined losses of £24million in the past three or four years which we wouldn’t be able to do" Maybe you would of, but the Al-Qadi's decided to invest in us instead. Completely ignorant of the facts of what Wael has put in recently to get rid of those debts. What a belter!

As soon as he mention us it was a sideswipe, Gillingham should have valued the player more by to giving him a good extension deal at the beginning of last season like we are now trying to do with JCH, they waited and waited so the player was bound to look at what is being offered elsewhere

Before or after they effectively cheated their way to Highbury for a money spinning FA Cup tie.
