Not to say that the source has much credability, but what a cracking signing this would be.

He's just signed a one year contract extension with them and was a big part of Coventry's promotion winning side in the last campaign. I don't think so.

If we sign him, like many of our loanees, who played a few games, do we then send him to Coventry?

No chance he's coming here imo, even with the Widdrington connection.

Could be closer than I first thought. www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/zain-westbrooke.120760/

Judging by Coventry fans views, he's tidy on the ball and scored some important goals for them, but many don't seem too bothered if he leaves.

In fairness, Cov do seem to have spent some money on midfielders in this window. Recently signed a CM from Holland for in excess of £1m and got Callum O'Hare on a permanent who was one of their better players last year on loan from Villa. Can see how Westbrooke would be lower down the pecking order but that isn't to say he's not a quality player at League One level.

Agreed - Cov fans will be comparing him against all the excellent creative midfielders they’ve had at that club over the last few years. Westbrooke would be far & away the most technically gifted midfielder at Rovers if he joins, IMO.
