Best signing off the season so far if we pull this one off. Garner must have some very good contacts and talk a good game. as these players we are getting would normally not even think about joining us. That’s the playmaker we desperately needed. Leeds Cardiff and the sh** was after this lad in January what a coup this could be. Why do you think BG has anything to do with signing a Coventry player? It's also seem too good to be true the news coming out of Rovers at the moment sign a goal scoring No 10 and that's virtually everything we could have asked for, assuming we also sign a couple of young wingers. Typical it' looking like our best pre-season for years but there's little chance of seeing any live games for months. Because BG is the manager? Lol.

Will be a cracking signing. Well done to all involved for sealing the deal! I imagine he's gonna cost a few quid too, considering he's only just signed a new 1 year contract at Coventry. I imagine it will we "Undisclosed", but I would of thought it would be between the £200k-400k mark at least

Free transfer with a fat sell on clause.

Just pleased with the signing. Looking forward to the season now. Bring it on!

Don’t think garner knew about this one by the sound off topper. Westbrooke said he didn’t want to meet the manager

To be fair to Frost, the signings he’s said are happening and reported on are Grant, Ehmer, Baldwin, Ayunga and Nicholson. All of them have happened. Not sure he’s reported a deal is close with a player and got it wrong this summer so I’m quietly confident about this one now... The following is a paragraph from the Football Insider article (1 hour ago) The 23-year-old, who scored four goals and provided six assists in the Eredivisie last year, put pen to paper on a three-year deal in the West Midlands. This suggests he has actually signed That bit “The 23-year-old, who scored four goals and provided six assists in the Eredivisie last year, put pen to paper on a three-year deal in the West Midlands.” was about Gustavo Hamer who signed for Coventry from a Dutch club, doesn’t mean Westbrooke isn’t going to be revealed as our next signing though.

Got a cracking delivery on him. That team at 45 seconds in were a bit rubbish weren't they? Gave him far much time on the ball.

Hi lads, another Coventry fan here. Would appear I was beaten to the punch by a fellow Sky Blue but nevertheless, I'll throw out some thoughts on Westbrooke. Firstly, very good signing for you boys I'd say. He's a very technically gifted lad and has all the attributes to play at a higher level in that regard. As mentioned above he is let down by his physicality and his slight unwillingness to get stuck in, although he's by no means lazy or work-shy. Stick him in a midfield 3 with a someone like Ogogo and one other and you should be golden. As for why we're letting him go, I'm just not sure he was going to play much next year. We play a pretty weird system as you'll have seen last year, in which we use 4 centre mids, but even then he's behind Liam Kelly, Gustavo Hamer, Jamie Allen, Jordan Shipley and Callum O'Hare in the pecking order. Not really a criticism of him as they're all just very decent players, but I imagine the lad just wants to be somewhere he's first choice at this stage of his career. Personally I'd have been happy for him to stay as he certainly contributed to our promotion last season, especially early on while Jamie Allen was out injured and Liam Walsh and Callum O'Hare hadn't quite settled. Hopefully he'll do a great job for you next year (and I don't just say that because I imagine we'll have a handsome sell on clause!). One final quick note that may be worth bearing in mind. He did have quite a public split with his now ex-girlfriend half-way through last season. She was pregnant at the time and was very unhappy with how he'd handled it all (I think she alleged he'd been cheating) but the muttering our end are that he was prepared to sign a new deal here just as that happened and then didn't because of it. I think the club were also a bit unimpressed with his agent linking him to a big money move in the press either which didn't help. Didn't seem to affect his on pitch performance at all but yeah, good chance he'd be tied down to a longer contract here had that not happened. Good news about Westbrooke. Was very impressed with your team last season. I thought Walsh was brilliant (is he not coming back to you guys ?) and Kelly wasn't far behind - he can play and get stuck in. Hopefully, not playing at home isn't going to affect you much - there again we might not have any fans at the games anyway !

Leeds Cardiff and the sh** was after this lad in January what a coup this could be. He seems to be a very good signing but I am not sure he us our best signing SN has 170 + games at a good level and ME has close to 300 games, these guys know their way around a football pitch. It will be interesting to see what the line up will be next season, what formation and who will be club captain, but at the end of the day our strike force is critical. The best signing of all would of course be JCH on a three year contract.

I'd expect these new signings are going to raise standards and morale on the training pitch too ! UTG

Putting together on paper a very good looking side - certainly looks as though the Club mean business and we will not now be seen as ‘also rans’ - well done to all involved.
