So the Bookies have us finishing 8th and yet that's still your lowest goal for us? I just find this level of expectation crazy. Crazy good or crazy bad? UTG!

If we finish lower than tenth The players, manager and board will be disappointed. I’m a dreamer, but not the only one. Imagine that.

' Minimum Play Offs ' is like a child saying 'I have to have a Bike for Christmas' !
It is also the early ingredients to causing unrest on here that permeates through to the wider fan base...
This is a really tough league this season with so many under performing big clubs now in the mix - I think we will do well to be in the Top Ten and anything else would be incredible. We will need more goals though so a new striker truly needs to be brought in.

It's the expectation that could be dangerous, as if we're steadily midtable, the last thing we need is a bunch of fans kicking up a stink saying that this is not acceptable.

Regardless I doubt 2,000/3,000 season tickets are going to kick up much stink at the Mem this side of the new year!!

Keyboard warriors n all that. As for your point about Wael, he's a level headed bloke and I'm sure will be realistic and reasonable.

You do have to wonder how many Rovers fans are going to actually bother to watch us play this season in order to kick up a stink if we're struggling. Only 1,000 tuned into the Exeter and I bet a fair number of those were season ticket holders. instead of kicking up a stink I sense they just won't bother to watch on iFollow.

Perhaps you're right, we may have more apathy rather than anger. Let's hope that we have neither because we'll be doing well!

This manager has built a team around his methods that is now his responsibility. We are Bristol Rovers. We are a top club with plans to achieve. Stop looking at them over there, the manager will be saying, take responsibility and aim for play offs. I’d be extremely agitated if he expected anything less. Winners don’t set low bars.

I think there is a difference between a prediction and an aim, what you think versus what you want. Your poll is labelled "where do you think we will finish" indicating that it is asking for a prediction yet it's possible answers are all aims, feats where we would all want Rovers to achieve but ones unreasonable to just expect Rovers would accomplish by the end of the season. I would be pleased if Rovers finished in the top 10 and I think it's an ambition a club with the stature of Rovers should always be aiming to realise but as far as I'm concerned the "security" target of the club each season is to achieve exactly that, secure the clubs place in the division for next season.

Excellent point above- the wording is clumsy. I would hope that the owner of the club has set at least play offs as a minimum.

I did think it was a very low number, however with such very short notice I couldn’t be in to watch it and didn’t therefore order it. If I had, it’s likely my brother will have come round to watch it. So between those that couldn’t watch due to lack of notice and then the shared family viewing, I reckon it’s not hugely representative... did surprise me when I saw the figure so low though!!

I think play offs or minimum top ten is now looking very realistic. It's a minimum target for sure, any less and we will be very disappointed. By the time the ground breaking bus comes out of garage looking for passengers we might be in the play offs. It will have been a ground-breaking recovery from a bad start from this young team. If we win the next two, and why not, we might even look higher than play offs. It's going to be a hell of a ride but some have been on this journey many, many time in the last few years. Excited, you bet.

We can only dream. Enjoy the journey. Twists and turns for sure.

I really hope the season is completed and not finished early I hope they shut the season down the moment we enter the playoff zone on points per game.

Remember this poll. We had little choice. The belief of reaching top ten with Garner had gone. Below security goal performance. Had to go.
Ground Breaking Goal Champions 6 votes Stretching Goal Automatic 14 votes Realistic Goal Winning Playoffs 5 votes Security Goal Playoffs / Top Ten. 62 votes
