Excellent performance over the first 35 minutes. Hard to spot a weakness in the Gas lineup. Specially impressed withe Nicholson and Westbrooke - but all playing well and easy on the eye with a good passing game. Garner's coaching shining through. Totally agree ~ very quick inter play and we were just the better side first quarter

Four quarters? Has any one had a shot at the goal box yet? What were the cheerleaders like. Games gone. Ffs we are playing a top championship side

Stupid comparing this situation to the Virgo situation. We do need a striker to replace JCH but size doesn't come into it necessarily. Bigger they are the more tempting it is to lump it. Like it or not we are moving away from that style of football. Stupid you not having a sense of humour! Stupid you not having a sense of humour. As far as size how many L1 sides don't play with a big CF? If nothing else they are useful in our own boxes for corners etc. Just archaic viewpoint that you have to start with a big fella up front. "Three midgets up front" implies they are no good in that role because of their size. And the only reason that would be is that you feel the need to play long balls and try to bully defenders. We've known since Garner was appointed this would not be the way we intend to play so we must move on from that. Whilst useful at defending corners, our 3 centre backs, wing backs and Centre mids can do that and it's not a strikers primary role. Ayunga is a big lad anyway, happy to chuck him on if we need some power injected into the game.

How does it compare to the second half v Cheltenham? I would say better than 2nd half at Cheltenham.

Lovely to see us playing such decent quality football especially against higher opposition.
No doubt the naysayers will find something to moan about but I'm very encouraged by this performance.

Havent watched the previous pre season friendlies and wasnt expecting much given the reviews of fellow charters. However, I am very happy.

Where would we get an undisclosed sum like that from?

So far We seem better at passing than Cardiff, however no great threat upfront which is no surprise given that we do not have recognised striker on the field. JML looks lively but generally isolated. Not able to determine how well or badly we will do this season

If cam hardgreaves took one touch less he'd be a great 10.

Just got in. Any chance of anyone mentioning a score on a match day thread?

Not able to determine how well or badly we will do this season Remember from the play off final, Cardiff had the lowest possession and pass completion stats in The Championship
