Alex Smithies, Sean Morrison, Junior Hoilett, Callum Paterson, Kieffer Moore all playing as well. So a strong line up, and I'd say over the first 2 35-minute segments, we've been the better side. Very encouraging then. I was a bit worried people were getting excited about us playing good football against a development side. But being well on top against a team that made the Championship playoffs last season gives every reason to be excited. We're starting to look too good now of Ipswich and Sunderland have got any spies watching! |

Wholesale changes for both sides this half. Our team is looking a little weaker than half (on paper at least). Cardiff now have the likes of Bacuna, Glatzel, Pack (sheed) and Flint (sheed) on the pitch.

And there I was being told all week that friendlies don’t matter 😛
I think people can now appreciate why I am of the opinion that they very much do matter for trying to cobble some form together in terms of team play. Second half against Cheltenham was impressive, if we can impress that performance on a team from the division above then we could be on for a much better season than I thought....providing we get a striker though

Considering this is a much more youthful side up against a strong Cardiff team, Rovers are more than holding their own.
New signing Tutonda looks sharp and I've been impressed by Walker, very quick feet, can see why he's highly rated.
