Don't like the bloke but think he has been harshly treated in this instance.

Don't like the bloke but think he has been harshly treated in this instance. It's a complete no no in tennis to hit a ball after play wHether on purpose or accidentally,Henman got disqualified for the same thing back in the 90s. He knew he was out the moment he did it.

Might be but I don't agree with it. The punishment was too harsh for the crime.

Players know the rules, and should abide by them. He was not treated harshly. Can't stand the bloke.

Loved the way it was dealt with. He knew he did wrong and despite being upset at being disqualified he did accept it and apologised later. Gives a very strong message to all tennis players. If he had been “let off” it would have been said one rule for the top players one rule for the others. Can you imagine what Nick Kyrgios would be saying?

It's one of those ones where if you take the rule book as gospel then yes technically Djokovic should have been defaulted for it but anyone with a bit of common sense can see the Serb made a mistake in the heat of the moment and no real malice was intended.

From his point of view it must have really hurt. He had a real chance on closing in on the grand slam record (and still has). I hope to god he doesn't get past Rafa and Roger though.
