I am sorry for any offence but i mentioned the players colour because i couldn't remember how to spell his name so by mentioning his colour it would more clearly identify who i meant . Seeings as we’ve only signed 1 other striker just saying the other striker probably would have done. He could have been a white player with blonde hair and i described him has having blonde hair no one would have batted an eye lid, you are just being pedantic and stupid. |

Welcome young man and best of luck ,would love to see him paired with Ayunga but don't suppose that's going to happen is it? used to be that strikers hunted in pairs , would be good to try it.

Looking at his Gillingham goals he seemed to play in a No 10 role alongside a centre forward, he's only 6' so hardly a big powerful No 9, although Garner did suggest he didn't want a like for like replacement for JCH. Hanlon scored 10 goals in his first season at Gillingham so clearly capable of getting into double figures this season. |

Best question thus far, anyone? He's been in pre season training with Gillingham I believe, think their fans were upset because he messed the club around, leading them to believe he was going to sign a new deal whilst listening to offers elsewhere. |

I remember DC saying that it’s not about getting a striker who’s just had a great goal scoring season but getting the timing right and getting one who is just about to. This is so true ! Basically,The Bee Gees future hangs on his strikers and if they are a success. We’re impotent at the moment , we need desperately a goal Scoring front line and we can’t just go out and buy guaranteed goals . So he has to unearth a nugget or two or he’s for the chop. Let’s hope he’s made the right choice |

😄 To be fair Garner is a highly respected coach. Thing is we could never have got him as a coach when he’s coached in the Premier and championship before us. I’d like to think that if things are still going crap in a few weeks then he’d be man enough to bring in a number 2 to work with him like we had with Trolls and Lennie and give that a go rather than sack him and then have him coach at another club. On one hand I don’t want the club to get rid of him because I think he can be brilliant at coaching our young players in to stars for us. On the other hand his management record is appalling. my comment was made with tongue in cheek I know mate that’s why I put a smilie face first . |

No such thing as a good or bad signing on day one.
So many unheard of players have gone on to be great for us that when we sign a player it really makes no difference to me whether he’s a name or not.
Bring on Sunderland.

Just text my mate who is a Gills fan and I asked if he is any good and his reply was “He is going to be a player who you will have trouble holding onto and probably by the end of the season you will be hoping he has signed an extension”
When I said alot of Gills fans don’t seem bothered his words were “probably cos he has left and its sour grapes, its just a case when all his ability and potential finally click but when it does he is going to have bigger teams looking at him, just waiting for that breakthrough from him, shame it won’t be with us”

I would play both him And JA together. Same. Although I wouldn’t wanna leave out JML and/or Nicholson... so not sure what system you’re using then. BG doesn’t strike me as a 4-4-2 man. Re-visit the old 4-2-4. |

I assumed that he wanted to differentiate between Daly and Ayunga, but wasn't that great at remembering names. |
