What a fantastic interview that was/is. Will bring back tear envoking memories for many I am sure. IF we ever do get to a new stadium, Gordon simply must be one of those remembered in some way. Interviews like that just show the class of our club and the fact that the lack of a decent home to call our own is the only thing we all want, have wanted, and desperately need. It’s not a desire, it’s a necessity. RIP Gordon, thank you. It certainly was a great interview, loved the answer re the 82 ers ' Rovers are very proud to be able to say we pay our way ' he said with a knowing smile on his face, we all know what he meant!! loved the man!

Hello, I’m Gordon Bennett’s sister, Barbara Andrews (nee Bennett). Thank you very much for all your kind messages.... they are very heartwarming! I am so proud of all that Gordon has accomplished in his career and of the impact he made on so many lives.
I have opened a FaceBook page “Gordon Bennett - A Life Well Lived”.
Thanks for the memories.

Fond memories Of Gordon Bennett and being part of his band of singers around the Tunnel at Eastville. His enthusiasm for BRFC was infectious and those games during the mid 60's were so exciting because singing and chanting was quite a new phenomena. He simply bled Bristol Rovers. Anyone remember singing: We’re forever bursting bubbles Pretty bubbles in the air West Ham scored three but so did we We made Bobby Moore seem very poor Fame may come our way On Wed...nes..day We’re for ever bursting bubbles Pretty bubbles in the air!!! or words to that affect!!!! Bristol Rovers didn’t win, but those words still remain in my head 50 plus years later!!

I've often wondered if Gordon started the singing at football matches, I can't remember much before apart from club anthems.A fine sight to recall Gordon with hunting horn in hand shouting 'chaaaarge' when we were attacking and 'no daaaanger' when the opposition had a corner.

My Dad took my Brother and I standing in the Tote End. It was soon after this that we migrated to the tunnel area joining in with the songs led by Gordon. We lost the replay 3-2.

Yes, he did. Jim Chappell has written a a couple of amusing articles on Gordon’s history in Jim’s Jottings, which can be found on Facebook or in several of the Programmes.
