This sounds a bit sinister but it is just a question.
The pitches at the training ground are the same as the Mem, or so they say. Does this include the slight decline towards the Tent End? Or the almost discernable gradient towards the South West Tent? Who knows?
But the question is this.
"If one day we had a new ground, would we take the Mem pitch with us? Would we replicate it? or would we have a new laser sharp flat pitch?"
If it's the latter, then would we change the training ground pitches?
or as some would say, "there is no new ground and we will spend eternity at the Mem"
I might be a bit bored at this stage

The pitches at the new training ground are the same as the mem in terms of the materials used, the dimensions and the way it’s been seeded, they aren’t an exact replica in terms of gradient.
So to answer your question, if Rovers ever got a new stadium, the likelihood is the pitches at the training ground would stay the same. Perhaps they would change the dimensions of the pitch to match the dimensions of the pitch in the new stadium if it changed but that’s about it.

Sounds like you’re hunting for witches.
If we got a new ground, we’d set it up like our training ground or revise the training ground to match.
We can’t build a pitch to match the pitch in the stadium we haven’t even planned yet.

I would be very disappointed if any pitch at a new stadium were the same as either the Mem or the training ground. Why? because it should and would include undersoil heating like all prem grounds. I would also like it to be maximum width dimensions under FA rules to allow the likes of Jarman, Barret and Bodin etc to delight us ripping up defences out wide.

Will the training ground be of Championship standard?

Will the training ground be of Championship standard? If you are a player looking to sign for us and you are good... yes, yes it is! Infact it'll be better.

I think even on a good day Harold is too old to play for us now whatever the pitch was like.....

I agree we don't need to replicate the Mem pitch as we only play 50% of games there. The pitch/pitches just needs to be the best standard possible.
