Surviving this Covid crisis and still having a club to support.
Surviving in League One whilst the infrastructure is made better.
Challenging for promotion would be a bonus.
Attracting back some of that fan base that will always be blue but who have lost the faith.
Eventually getting into the Championship and consolidating.
Beating the sh** just to experience again that 80’s unbeaten streak would be the cherry on top

New fit for purpose stadium that can make money on non match days.
Completed training ground of a decent standard.
Financial sustainability through ticket sales, selling players and non match day revenue
Top half of League One football with ambition of Championship mainstays within 10 seasons.
Basically just live up to our potential through undergoing the modernisation that has left this club decades behind all its rivals.

Success for me is being as sustainable as we can first of all, and then being at least a mid table L1 team whilst doing that. Whilst I may come across as negative on here right now and adding to it being toxic, I actually don't think we are doing things the wrong way. Wael paying off the debts is brilliant and the new training ground is great news. Tommy Widdrington seems to have improved our scouting department. All positive and off the pitch we are looking in a really good place. My one problem is Ben Garner, I have zero confidence in him. The results have been awful, he naively tried to change too much too quick and there has been no progression, we don't have a clear identity and he talks crap in his interviews. So yes, try and develop our own players. Try and find players cheap with potential to sell for a maximum profit. I would want a strong spine alongside this which I don't think we currently have. Jaakkola is the only part of the spine I have full faith in. In a nutshell - Sustainable as possible, at least Mid table L1, selling players for a profit and entertaining football would be successful. Regarding getting to the championship, of course that would be a massive success. Anybody who would say otherwise obviously doesn't understand or been through where the club has been in previous years. [/quote] Bump albeit the TW bit was slightly out!

In two or three years time we’ll be in league 2 drawing to Carlisle and losing to Cheltenham. Success for us would be competing at the top of league one.
Edit: Just noticed this is an old thread. Typical GGMI

Typical GGMI 2 or 3 years? You expect us to bounce back from the conference at the first time of asking again? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

We aspire to basically be Rotherham, a championship/ top ten league one side with nice facilities. Much better stadium than we have now and the occasional derby against City.
It’s not happening until we get our act together on and off the pitch.

Short term (this season) - a team that can hold its own in the division - midtable even lower midtable fine this year and a training ground in use for first team and development squad. Medium term ( next couple of seasons)- a team challenging for top six and a training ground expanded to accommodate the academy. Long term - (4 or 5 years time) a top league 1 at least or ideally a championship team with a new 15,000 - 20,000 seat stadium with good transport links. Modest ambition perhaps but would be a great success. My ambition seem modest back in September but are now delayed by at least 3 seasons...this one, the next and the one after.

Not having a side collectively sh** themselves whenever they walk across the whitewash.

To make some saves, to make tackles, to win headers, to make passes, to create opportunities, to score goals, to win football games, to gain points, to be comfortable in league one with a possibility of a playoff push. Thats our highest natural level ay our best so to me for a manager that would represent success.
Success with this current mob. Finishing above 23rd.

Historically we have always been a mid table league one team. However, over the years as teams around us (and below us) have got better and improved their facilities we are dropping further down. I said when DC got sacked if we didn't get relegated that season its only its only a matter of time before we did and it looks like its finally coming. I think we should now be classed as a bottom league one, top league two side but it'll only get worse until we finally got some sort of decent stadium. The training ground will help, but not on its own.

If Joey B digs us out of the mess we're in this season, using all the tools at his disposal, I'd class that as a success. ![](https://static.dw.com/image/56968528_401.jpg)

Really pleased with the appointment of Joey, whatever league BRFC are in next season, I look forward to going particularly to the away games, cheering on a team capable of winning a football match. As long as the team is competitive on a regular basis, then personally I see that as being short term success.

Seeing a bit of the old Rovers spirit back - sadly I feel that will not happen , although if JB stays he could be the man ! 🤞🤞🤞🤞
