The ugly side of humanity shown by the rise of trump, dog whistle racism, greed and arrogance, it's no surprise that the far right loved him and he was happy to court them. Have lessons been learnt? Hopefully some, but his type will never go away. If the democrats continue to ignore those who fell for trumps simplistic answers, they'll be in trouble in 4 years. The bad news is that Trump's team have said if he loses he will stand again in 4 years,FFS Presuming that he will now definitely lose, I think Biden's Presidency needs to reflect. Trump polled over 69,000,000 votes. Just about the same amount that brought Obama a huge victory in 2008. Trump used appalling language and tactics during his reign and re election campaign. But I don't think it's wise to tar all of those 69M with the same brush. Biden will represent these people as well and would do well to address their fears and concerns. It's by so doing that extremists like Trump are, can be, exposed for who they really are. Take note Starmer.

He's almost won a second term despite many seeing him as a travesty.

Although I'm not a fan of centrism, I guess we'll have to take it over right wing populism. Hopefully starmer can come up with a vision that people can get behind, but I don't think it's possible in our class society. Too much hatred poured on to others.

Just In: Police arrested two men in Philadelphia after receiving a tip that they traveled from Virginia with AR-15s and made threats against the Philadelphia Convention Center, where mail-in ballots are still being counted.

Why do they need to say anything? Indeed. Let's hold fire here. Flush the Libertarians out later.

Why do they need to say anything? Yeah I suppose either way its just not wise to nail your colours to the mast when you hope to forge a relationship with whatever side wins.

Sky update at 8.47, now down further. "Update from Georgia - Trump now leads by just 463 votes" Any US Constitution experts out there? If Trump does lose but he refuses to leave, does his tenure automatically end in January or does he have to formally step aside? Surely we won't witness him being evicted, will we? The Leaders of the House can evict him Thanks, in answer to my question earlier, What happens if Donald Trump refuses to concede? He doesn't have to concede, but if he loses the election and the Electoral College meets as well as Congress and declares a victor - there will be a victor, a specialist in electoral law has told Sky News. Lawyer Carol Laham said: "if it happens to be Joe Biden then Donald Trump has to leave office on January 20. "The constitution is quite clear that the term of the president ends at 12noon on January 20. "Whether or not he leaves the White House, doesn't mean he is still the president. "There will be a president as declared by Congress on January 6, the date I think that Congress meets. Asked if the military could be sent in to physically remove Mr Trump from the White House if he refuses to leave, she replied: "That would be unprecedented. That has never happened and I don't anticipate it will happen."

She said she expects that when the time comes, he will accept defeat and go peacefully. She said she expects that to surprise many people.

Why do they need to say anything? They are quick to when it's a regime they don't agree with, why the double standards I'd say.
