He was at Manor farm on sat..... I see he’s got his UEFA Pro license. Could it be worth him doing a few sessions with the first team’s defence?

Hope he's better at coaching than he was defending ha. The lord was a decent player for us and part of a successful Rovers team. A tad disrespectful mate.

He went to school with my mate, I’ve had a chat to him when he was playing for Newport he’s a really top bloke. And as you say, a very good player for us.

I know he's only being employed part time but Wael seems to be spending money on everything but a decent manager and a striker or two. It's an odd set up he's creating at Rovers.

Byron was a good player for us. Like every defender at lower level he had a mistake in him. Nonetheless, overall he was a huge playing asset for the club during his tenure.
I'm delighted for him that he has got his coaching badges and I welcome him back in a coaching capacity.
It will be nice to have a coach at the club who has actually played the game at a senior level.

He was bloody good for us and part of one of few successful Rovers' teams. Cant believe he's come back and he's getting slated.

I bet he has nightmares of the night Jason Beresford destroyed him and the young lad from Crewe who went on to join Man U.
Couldn’t fault his application but a good defender he was not. Compare him to what we have had since and he wouldn’t have got a game.

How many coaches, trainers, assistants, scouts, management, board members, etc. do we actually have? Would be interesting to see the complete set up we currently have (Including academy, etc.etc.) especially during these difficult times when most organisations are starting to cut back? PS Do we have more coaches than those we use to go to away matches?

Compare him to what we have had since and he wouldn’t have got a game. I'd put him way ahead of Parkes, Hartley, Trotman, Branston to name but a few. Way ahead of them - we've had some decent defenders since and I'd bracket the Lord with them (McChr, Craig etc) - capable of doing a job at L2 and L1 level.

This is good news. I had a long chat with Byron a while back at a Weston game and he certainly knows his stuff. Came across as a great bloke too. Welcome back Byron and good luck!
