You couldn’t really have a disliking for Byron. Always fully committed and despite having a mistake in him (which lower level CH doesn’t?) I always thought he was technically good also. Good luck Lord, welcome back. I will always remember your late headed equaliser Hartlepool away in a Desmond Tutu. Great scenes.

Very pleased that he has come back. Over my many years of watching the Gas I think he was one of the more reliable central defenders we have had. From what I recall he rarely got beaten in the air and his reading of the game was very good - a bit like Lockyer in that regard.
