Rose tinted specs I think - Kelly and Kilgour were dreadful,Leahy not much better and we are desperately short of strikers. We missed at least 3 golden opportunities. I am not saying it was a bad performance but we miss the easiest chances. Daley doesn't have a goal in him. Baldwin must have had one hell of a game then if he's carried the 'dreadful' Kilgour & Kelly all night. Sorry Steve but that's absolute nonsense we've defended well tonight and limited Oxford to practically nothing.

Ah, BBC says 4 but you must be right yes. If we win, then I think we'll get through as if Oxford lose, we'll have better GD anyway. If they draw, and Walsall win on pens, then we'd have better goal difference, and if Oxford wins we'd have more points than Walsall. Obviously Oxford win we waltz through. If Walsall win on pens then they would finish a point above us? Think we need Oxford to win or win on pens. Southern Group D on here. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/football-league-trophy/tableIf we win, we're on 5 with GD over 0, if Walsall draw and win on penalties they will be on 5 too according to this, with 0 GD. It's only a bonus point not the full three points.

Overall I felt positive about that performance to be honest. We were bette rin the first half than the 2nd half though which is a common theme during BG's reign.

Too many clowns in the team tonight. Leahy dreadful penalty and even worse follow up. Keeper is useless and Kelly and Kilgour not up to9 it. Daley unfortunately doesn't have a goal in him . Despite all this it was a decent performance that should have seen us win 2-0 but instead go out of the competition. What it did show tonight is that we are dreadfully short up front and need a goalscorer. Probably not a bad thing to be out of this cup buyt di8sappointing after being the better team for most of the game. Totally agree Steve. Kilgour once again looked a liability, definately not a defender who is comfortable in playing out from the back. Imho Baldwin, Ehmer and Harries our streets ahead of him. Our keeper should take note of how the Oxford keeper stood up to penaltys instead of this stupid jumping up and down routine which immediately makes it difficult to get down quickly enough to deal with the kicks. It was a carbon copy of the Walsall shoot out as regards that.

Strange because the `bbc website said Oxford won on penalties. So they won, but we never lost how strange.

I am not saying it was a bad performance but we miss the easiest chances. Daley doesn't have a goal in him. I'm not sure why we persist with Kelly - Was hugely surprised he was given a new deal. Von Schittenshotten is equally no way near good enough - Someone truly needs to tell him that in a penalty shoot out the aim is to stop the ball and not dodge it ( appreciate he did stop one tonight but dived out of the way of four others) ... his overall keeping is erratic and his shot stopping not great either. Poor Alfie is missing Coughlan I think - A real Defensive Mentor - Maybe he also has a touch of 'Gaffney Syndrome' ( where a player is told he is so so good way too early and he starts to believe the hype, in the Case of Gaffney he was worshipped to the brink of having Fans offer their wives to him and in song form at that ) I feel a little for Daley as he needs a Striker to work with, not play on his own - he will fail if not given proper support and very soon the Twatter / Facefook Boo Boys will be all over him. Expected a bit more from Nicholson to be honest and surprised JML nowhere to be seen as the game could have been made for him and a confidence boost for Saturday.

Some good performances tonight and team play but lacking up front, still quite encouraged by our youngsters. Mehew has good vision and touch plus can finish, Walker showed good strength and turn of pace for a little un, his decision making let him down at times but that can come with more game time and coaching.

The match finished as a draw. Ergo, we didn't lose. Oxford won the penalty shootout and thus won a bonus point. They did not win the match.

I'd agree we're short up top, we should have put the game to bed well before they equalised. Not sure where your criticism of the keeper, Kilgour & Kelly comes from, goalie had nothing to do for the majority of the game and the back 3 were very good throughout. They've limited Oxford to pretty much nothing all game, if Leahy scores the pen we'd all be praising a very good away performance When you think we had Ellis Harrison Matty Taylor Jermaine Easter Billy bodin Rory gaffney Rory fallen Oli mcburnie in division two. It makes you wonder . Is it tactics or unbalanced budget spent . We can't expect 3 strikers with no experience to compete at division one level...
