What was or bench doing during the second half they should have made changes when Burton took control. You could see this happening. Still not convinced he knows this league. It had Burton goal written all over it for 10-15 minutes before they scored we were dropping off deeper and they took control. Nothing unlucky about today we should have taken more control of the game after scoring not conceded control to what was a pretty poor side. They were organised and knew our strengths from our last two games and played against those strengths so fair result. A game that yes we should have won but not a performance deserving of three points.

Still not a bad start although should have won today. 12th after 6 games. We've played 4 of the current top 7 and we have a young side that should only get better with time. Onwards and upwards. I thought you didn’t do positivity, just exchange your views with other gas heads? 😁 I thought we were very naive today both the players and the manager, young side and inexperienced manager cost us the points today. But I’ve seen worse still work in progress and hopefully they will all learn from today, and play more on the front foot the next time we have a 1 goal lead. Convinced that should have been a pen mind? Still mustn’t grumble eh, UTG!

Nicholson very unlucky with his header there. Hopefully, some lessons learned by BG about how we play when a goal up and also might consider making substitutions earlier in games. Agree about the subs but if you hit the bar that’s not unlucky it’s just simply not quite good enough to score.

Upson is crap... Poor decision making by BG ... we were controlling the game and he takes off youth and energy and brings on side ways Ed. Two points dropped against a very poor side.. That said this is a game in the last few seasons we would have lost ... unbeaten now in Three. Totally disagree - as much as you like to use Upson as scapegoat you can’t blame him for the goal. We’d been inviting pressure way before he was on the pitch. Again you’ve shown a complete lack of understanding of the game I’m afraid. No need to be afraid ... its about opinions ! Ours differ on this point ... I think if BG brings on Oztumer instead of Upson we keep taking the game to Burton and we win. I have my FA Coaching badges by the way so I sort of understand the game a little bit -

On the one hand it has been something of a consistent issue that BG has yet to demonstrate being able to materially affect a game through tactics and substitutions. Forgive me if I’m wrong but even in the games we have won I don’t recall him taking an action that directly lead to the winning goal.
But on the other hand, for once I’m going to cut Garner some slack and say I don’t think I would have done much different today. Plenty of top class managers have shut up shop instead of pressing for the win. It’s literally one of those that when it works we’d all be saying it was the right thing to do. If we had continued pressing Burton but left ourselves open and they equalised it would have been the wrong thing to do.
I can’t recall the time the substitution was made so perhaps he shut up shop too early? That would be the only thing I would point to as maybe being the wrong decision.

Unfortunately as you rightly say it actually surrendered the initiative a bit and Westbrooke wasnt really involved. Not a disaster by any means if you'd offered me 12th with 8 points after 6 games after the Doncaster match I'd certainly have taken it !!

Fine margins today as Grant's clearance could have just as easily fallen to a Rovers player rather than the Burton goal scorer and Nicholson's header could have dropped below the bar.

I wish people would post the live table during a match, it’s just like a commentator’s curse.

We should have had a penalty, I thought Ansi was impeded for the equaliser and we had two further clear cut chances From Hare crosses. Burton only real threat was a Harries miscue. Hanlan could and maybe should have had a Hattrick + hitting the bar i have seen us lose games like this so often and today we deserved 3 points You only deserve the points if you get shots on target and maybe the keeper makes lots of saves. Half chances and hitting the bar isn’t unlucky it’s not good enough. I’m quite happy it’s another game unbeaten and I don’t think we played badly I think we were slightly the better side but we didn’t deserve to win and we weren’t unlucky. The big decision was the penalty and the foul on Ansi - it was the difference between 2-0 and 1-1

I'm happy with it all to be fair - we are playing ok in patches - i like the look of the front two and we have pace in the side now. I think we will improve on last season.

The mem wasn’t built it was chucked up. A bit like my Stella after that soft equaliser. You needed a Burton goal , you just needed at least a couple more Gas goals to go with it.
