This looks like a game for the win. However we know it’s never that easy. I think the last couple of games have been a real lift to everyone (yes I admit I need to eat some humble pie for being a BG outer). Burton will be a bit of an unknown as they have an inexperienced manager with only a few games experience. Who knows today might be the day it clicks for them. They seem to have a few out injured and looks like ‘J J the tool’ will be in the starting lineup. They’ve signed a striker from wolves, not sure if he’ll be able to play today. I’m going for a narrow win 1-0

I suggest you look in the mirror. 2 threads now and most of the talk has been about GGMI instead of Gas v Burton, now that just isn’t right is it? I'm looking more for a performance though of course a win would be nice, but I am hoping to see the team becoming more comfortable playing the Garner style football. Hopefully with the pressure off a little the players can gain a bit of confidence.

That's what bullies do. Act the victim when they get called out on their behaviour. You do things to deliberately to spoil the enjoyment of this place for others then act butt hurt when you're not allowed to get away with it. |

Its time to raise our thoughts and hopes. We are Bristol Rovers and we are serious about building a football club that aims high in all we do. We have always expected play offs as a minimum and we will send an importance message to many if we can win and win well against teams in the bottom half. If we want to end up in playoffs at the end of the season then we would not expect to drop points in games such as these. We need to be confident but not complacent. It’s far to early for that.
Burton have had an incredibly bad start to season. We look like we are hitting form at the right time. I am aiming high again as the team are building a steady confidence in the Garner style of football, growing their talents and creating high expectation within the club and with our fans.
If we maintain our approach of the last few games I expect us to win and win well. Its time to send a positive message to many. 3-0 to the gas. Why not..

For all the reasons above I can’t quite think it will be three wins on the trot. But I feel pretty confident and I’ve gone for 3-1. Burton worst defence in league so I hope we set up to take advantage but they’ve also scored more than us so we need to keep our shape and the back 3 play well, concentrate with no silly errors. I’d go with unchanged team after Lincoln. It also gives a message to those players, win and win well and you keep your place. I’m also going for the 6th uninterrupted, good reception ifollow match. (Which will now go wrong and I’ll miss the last two goals!) UTG! I miss GC cos with him; you played well and you used to keep your jersey. |
