Burton 7 strong between the goals, but perhaps lucky to get draw.

BG should have shaken things up well before Burton equaliser because we couldn't get and keep the ball in Burton's half. Does BG ask his team to drop too much when we take the lead ? We need more tempo to our play in the 1st half.

Jaakkola - 7 great save from Harries slice.

Ehmer - 6 solid performance, very limited footballer with the ball at his feet though and looks uncomfortable in possession. Burton were happy for our back three to pass the ball sideways to each other for most of the first half!
Baldwin - 7 solid defensive performance, looks a good signing. 
Harries - 6.5 defensively decent but his distribution is shocking and that slice almost conceded an OG.

Hare - 7 fantastic crossing, really impressive going forward and did ok defensively. Our most likely goalscoring threat.
Grant - 6.5 a passenger for the second half, I can see that at times he keeps the ball moving and everyone needs the water carrier in front of the back four but he needs to do more against weaker teams than just pass the ball backwards or sideways five yards for 90 mins. Showed in the build up to one of the Lincoln goals that he has it in his Locker...
Westbrooke - 6.5 really struggled to influence the game again. 
McCormick - 6 struggled this week after a good game last week against Lincoln. Ineffective going forward and lacked physicality defensively, but can't fault his effort. Looks mostly likely to drop out of the team for Oztumer in the coming weeks. 
Tutonda - 6.5 struggled this week but started well enough and defensively I thought he did pretty well.

Daly - 7 took his goal really well; great finish, good composure and anticipated the mistake. Worked hard again as always but did struggle to influence the game. Needs to put on some size to be able to compete with centre halves at this level or he's going to continue struggling IMO.
Hanlan 6.5 workrate impressive again. Got into good positions but needs to at least hit the target from open play with at least one of those headers today. I like him as a player but not convinced he's a natural goalscorer - hope to be proved wrong.

Subs: Upson - 5. Looked low on confidence and short of match fitness when he came on. Did we really need Upson and Grant on the pitch at the same time against the team at the foot of the table? Would rather have seen Oztumer come on, although he may be lacking match fitness I guess...
Nicholson - not really long enough to rate but probably should have scored from that header? 
Oztumer - not long enough on pitch

Ref - 6 did ok, not much to do. Hard to tell re the penalty with the single long distance camera on Ifollow on my laptop I'm afraid.
Burton - 7 I thought they were ok and tried to play some decent football. However we were so negative after we scored that we probably made them look a bit better than they are. All things considered deserved a point imo.

Don't want to sound overly negative towards BG, but today after we scored - bearing in mind they're bottom of the table - I think we should have pressed for the second to kill the game off. Instead I think we/he settled for the draw and invited Burton on to us, which resulted in the inevitable equaliser. If we are going to play this Garnerball style then how did we end up at home, against the bottom of the table team, sat deep in our own half hamstrung with a defensive minded midfield of Upson and Grant?!
